When you see Mars, Jupiter, or another planet “moving backward” in the celestial sphere, it is not a physical motion in the opposite direction. It is merely an optical illusion caused by the difference in orbital speeds of Earth and the planet. Therefore a retrograde transit signals that the planet’s energy is directed inward, into your inner world, rather than outward. In November 2026 we have several retrograde planets that affect everyday life. Mercury is retrograde at 12° [Scorpio](https://astroway.info/zodiac/skorpion/), Venus at 24.7° [Libra](https://astroway.info/zodiac/terezi/), Saturn at 9.1° [Aries](https://astroway.info/zodiac/oven/), Uranus at 4.5° [Gemini](https://astroway.info/zodiac/blyzniuky/), Neptune at 2° Aries, and Chiron at 27.9° Aries. Each of them “blinds” its traditional function and asks you to turn your attention inward. ## Mercury in Scorpio: Reassessing Words and Thoughts Mercury retrograde at 12° Scorpio indicates that communication may become more intense, and sometimes confusing. If you plan to sign an important contract or write a letter, it is better to reread it several times. During this period there is often a need to uncover secrets that previously remained hidden. Example: in 2022 Mercury retrograde in Scorpio prompted many journalists to revisit old investigations, leading to new discoveries. For you this is an opportunity to analyze your own beliefs, discover which thoughts no longer serve, and leave them in the past. Do not postpone important conversations to the end of the week – it is better to clarify details now. ## Venus in Libra: Reassessing Values and Relationships Venus retrograde at 24.7° Libra makes you think about harmony in partnership. It is not a time for new romantic beginnings, but a time when old conflicts can return in a new form. If you have unfinished matters with a loved one, November is a suitable month to discuss them, but without emotional escalation. Notable case: actress Jennifer Lawrence experienced retrograde Venus in 2019 when her relationship with a colleague became the subject of public debate. She openly spoke about the need to “reexamine her priorities” and focus on inner peace. ## Saturn in Aries: Energy Limits and Discipline Saturn retrograde at 9.1° Aries indicates that your ambitions may encounter internal barriers. If you planned to start a new project, it may be wise to first confirm whether you are truly ready for responsibility. Saturn in Aries often requires you to “ignite” the inner fire, rather than simply diving into action. Practical example: during retrograde Saturn in 2024 many startups postponed product launches to refine their business model, avoiding financial losses. ## Uranus in Gemini: Unexpected Changes in Communication Uranus retrograde at 4.5° Gemini often brings technological glitches or sudden ideas that change your approach to learning. If you study or work with information, be prepared for unexpected discoveries. It could be a new online course that changes your professional path. Uranus in Gemini in 1999 pushed many to create blogs, which today form the basis of the influencer industry. ## Neptune in Aries: Dreams That Demand Reality Neptune retrograde at 2° Aries blurs the boundaries between fantasy and reality. This is a time when your dreams may seem too idealistic. If you plan a trip or creative project, it is better to draft a clear plan and check whether you have the resources to implement it. In 2021 during retrograde Neptune many people postponed the “ideal” trip because they realized their budget did not allow such luxury. ## Chiron in Aries: Healing Old Wounds Chiron retrograde at 27.9° Aries indicates that this period is especially suitable for inner healing. If you have unresolved conflicts with parents or childhood, November is a time when they may appear in dreams or conversations. Do not avoid them; try to understand what exactly needs attention. Therapist Olena Koval, working with clients during retrograde Chiron, often saw patients discovering new paths to self‑acceptance when they allowed themselves to feel the pain. ## How to Use Retrograde in Everyday Life? First, do not panic when something goes wrong. Retrograde transit is an opportunity to pause, review, and correct. If you feel something is “stuck,” write it down and return to it later. The second step is planning. Avoid signing important documents on days when Mercury is retrograde, or at least have them legally reviewed. The third step is communication. During retrograde Venus be especially attentive to the tone of your voice. Remember that words can stay in memory longer than you expect. Finally, give yourself permission to rest. Retrograde is not only about correction but also a time for inner work. A walk in the park, meditation, or simple reading will help maintain balance.
