January 10: First Skype Conference for Distance Course. Report.

On January 10, the instructor of the distance astrology course, Angelika Zhuravskaya, conducted a joint Skype conference for all interested participants. Thirteen students from various countries—Latvia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Canada—took part in the conference. Below are the main topics discussed during the session.

The announcement regarding the opportunity to speak personally with the course lecturer and fellow students via Skype was posted in our Facebook group; everyone interested could participate. Initially, the conference was intended as a review of the material already studied by each student, using the analysis of Oprah Winfrey’s horoscope as an example. All students were able to save the horoscope file, as it was uploaded to our Facebook group “DISTANCE LEARNING.” It remains in the news feed to this day. However, due to technical issues, a full analysis could not be completed, and the conference smoothly transitioned into a “question-and-answer” format.

Students had the opportunity to personally ask Angelika any questions that remained unclear from the lectures or other studied materials. Angelika continued communicating with the last participants until 20:30. We apologize to everyone who, due to technical difficulties, could not join the discussion groups. Now, let’s summarize the key points.

What questions were asked?

Here is a brief list of the main questions:

  • What is the difference between a cosmogram and a horoscope?
  • Does the natal chart change when relocating? And if so, which natal chart is more important?
  • What does it mean to work with a planet?
  • Why are planets positioned differently in the cosmogram and the horoscope?
  • What does the first planet in the cosmogram and the first planet in the horoscope signify?
  • Will we study T-squares and Grand Trines in this course?
  • How much time is required to complete the full course and be ready to work as an astrologer?
  • How to properly analyze planets in the Chalice, especially the opposite zone?
  • Why are there discrepancies between A. Ayche’s and S.V. Vronsky’s books regarding the determination of elements and temperaments?
  • Why do you place such strong emphasis on temperament in your lectures?
  • Which astrological reference books should a first-year student have?
  • How to interpret a cosmogram? What is its purpose?
  • If there is no clearly emphasized element or cross in the cosmogram, how should one approach the synthetic sign, and what should one pay attention to?
  • What to do if two synthetic signs emerge?
  • Why do planets appear in different positions when constructing a cosmogram or horoscope using different programs (Zet or online internet services), and which program is more accurate?
  • What is meant by a planet in “special position”?
  • What is a “disharmonious” planet, and from what does this characteristic arise?
  • Is it true that a planet in fall or in detriment cannot manifest on the external level?
  • Once again, thank you to everyone who spoke during the conference and asked their questions. Special thanks from Angelika personally to everyone for their patience—those who listened attentively and waited for connection even after 17:30 Latvian time. There remains a strong feeling that we are one team! Thank you for being here!
