2nd House in Aquarius
A. N. Ryzhov. House Boundaries in the Signs
Financial matters and well-being are determined by fortunate chance. Losses from friends and associates (but do not buy during the Moon’s passage over the border of the 2nd house).

The scholar discovers texts written in an unknown language. This person is interested in the outer world, although he does not understand everything in it. Sometimes, however, he becomes very bored, and the environment seems gray, ordinary, and hopelessly outdated. These two characteristic Aquarian states offer the individual corresponding value systems and ethics, which strongly depend on the level of development of the 2nd house. At lower levels, the person values interest and extravagance with a mental slant, but exclusively for personal consumption: he is entertained by the latest rumors about flying saucers, a new abstract joke. At higher levels, the person values original creative ideas, science—especially physics and mathematics—and prefers friendship over love. Toward the gray present, he develops an attitude of respect and attention, as toward a reality upon which he must work and which presents him with tasks. The general ethics are predominantly mental, although part of its logic is drawn from the future and may therefore be, so to speak, unexpectedly unconventional; however, the ideal of universal brotherhood is usually present. The attitude toward money is uneven; sources of income are mainly connected with mental work, and the specific fields will be indicated by aspects to the 2nd house and Uranus, while expenditures may be the most extravagant, though a good lightning rod, of course, will not be overlooked. Personal ethics must be corrected by group ethics and by the soul under Leo, when the primary focus is on energetic ideas and practical interaction with the environment.
Houses in the Zodiac Signs. Alexander Kostovich
Earns money through original, unusual means involving groups and associations. May work at enterprises implementing large, expensive innovations and technical inventions. Attitude toward money is inconsistent. Income sources are primarily linked to intellectual work; expenditures may be highly extravagant. Does not plan a budget and has no savings. His frugality sometimes turns into stinginess, yet he works persistently to achieve financial security. Relies on his own abilities and expects fair compensation from others according to agreed terms. Desires to have as much money as possible because he dreams of living a very long life and wants to secure his old age, not wishing to depend on others. This constant need for future certainty is the reason he possesses an instinct for thrift, making him stingy, sometimes even greedy. Actively seeks independence. May lose property through close associates. Will live in labor and worry until the age of 40. Often works in free time when others are relaxing. Money is one of the main motives behind his actions. He is economical in household matters, content with little, and indifferent to luxury—until he gains full confidence in the future, having created a solid reserve for rainy days. He values success, fame, and prestige more than wealth, yet will not miss what comes directly into his hands. Strictly monitors contract compliance and always views obligations as mutual; he never gives up anything of his own.
Pavel Globa. Houses in the Zodiac Signs
AQUARIUS—fluctuations in financial affairs. Periods of luxury alternate with asceticism. Often, money runs out before payday! Unexpected gains, winnings, or sudden losses are possible. Initially, money is bravely earned, then carelessly spent. A hussar-like style. Special love for shrewd and large-scale deals, using unusual methods of earning and acting by the rules. Food—honey, lemons, turnip greens.
