ALEXEY AGAFONOV – PREDICTIVE ASTROLOGY :: 2. PRACTICE Part 1-10

X. RELOCATION ..k had no direct relation to finances (she worked with computer systems). To analyze both marriages, it is essential to examine the synastry charts, taking into account the relocation chart of the woman. For example, Saturn and Neptune of the first husband (his birth date: February 18, 1945) form a T-square with the woman’s natal Saturn. In her natal chart, Saturn is connected with the 2nd house, and the synastry indicates a negative influence of the husband at the wife’s expense. However, in the woman’s relocation chart, Saturn rules and is located in the 4th house. As a result, the husband deprives her of real estate through Neptunian manipulations. In the synastry with the second husband, there are no stress aspects involving Neptune. We can compare the indications of the radix and the local chart regarding another distant relocation in her life. In July 1991, she departed on a long-term business assignment to the other hemisphere as a consultant and project manager. Period: Moon-Moon, beginning of a new major period. The Moon in the 10th house of the natal chart—career. We do not receive a clear indication of relocation in the firdaria. Perhaps we should consider the position and rulership of Mars, the dispositor of the Moon: Mars rules the 9th house (long journey, isolation). In the 9th harmonic chart, the Moon is in the 1st house in Leo—self-assertion—ruled by Jupiter in exaltation in the 9th house of distant countries. In the 10th harmonic chart, the Moon together with Jupiter is in the 11th house of group work, in sextile to the Sun in the 9th house, ruler of the 4th house—distant relocation—and in trine to Saturn, ruler of the 9th and 10th houses—career in a foreign country. 297 ~ OLEKSIY AGAFONOV In the radix progressions: – Sun in sextile to Neptune: 9th, 12th + 3rd, 10th; distant journey related to career; – Mercury in trine to Uranus: 6th, 11th, 9th, 12th + 3rd, 9th; distant trip due to professional duties; – Mars in sextile to Venus: 1st, 4th, 11th, 12th + 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th; change of country due to career and professional duties; change of job or its nature; – Mercury and Mars in semi-sextile to the 12th cusp: 1st, 4th, 11th, 12th and 6th, 11th, 9th, 12th + 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th; the same; – 9th cusp in sextile to Jupiter: 3rd, 9th + 1st, 12th; distant journey; – 12th cusp in semi-sextile to Mars: 12th + 4th, 9th, 12th; change of residence country; distant relocation; – MC and Venus in conjunction with Mercury and Mars: 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th + 4th, 11th, 12th + 6th, 7th, 9th, 12th; this is the main aspect, as it involves the MC—the “hour hand of fate”—marking the beginning of a new life period; the aspect again indicates a change of residence country due to career and professional duties. The involvement of the 11th house in favorable cases indicates a job change, favorable disposition of superiors, emergence of a new team; often seen is the combination of managing subordinates 11th + 10th; Venus also gives the “formula of touring” 5th + 9th; indeed, this was a long-term business assignment (four years) in a distant country with an unfamiliar culture as a consultant and team leader, demonstrating a creative approach and knowledge of modern technologies. As we can see, the movement of the MC and the progressions in the radix chart are very important and indicative in this case, despite the relocations. 298 X. RELOCATION ~ In the relocation chart during this move, the MC forms no aspects; the Moon, ruler of the 10th house in the local chart, does not make any aspects. There are indications of relocation due to job change, but not as strong as in the radix chart. Therefore, in this case, the relocation chart plays an auxiliary role in forecasting. When analyzing prospects in the new location, it is important (recall the indications of a position in the local chart or loss of property in local progressions); however, the most significant life changes are much better seen in the natal chart. Yet in other cases, even when relocating over short distances, when the position of the MC changes by only a few degrees, the relocation chart works better, and aspects of the MC (especially conjunctions!) are particularly symbolic precisely in the relocation chart. Therefore, I believe that the sensitivity of the relocation chart must be individually verified, and both charts—the natal and the local—should be examined. In the next volume, we will consider indications of marriage and childbirth in various astrological techniques, including the 7th and 9th harmonic charts and solar returns.
