Four Blood Moons: The End of the World in September 2015

Four Blood Moons: The End of the World in September 2015

Sometimes we hear ominous prophecies about the end of the world. One such sign is associated with the Four Blood Moons. Learn what phenomenon is called by such an ominous name and whether the Apocalypse really threatens us all.

Blood Moon in September 2015

A Blood Moon occurs during a total lunar eclipse. From Earth, this phenomenon looks quite beautiful and frightening: the Moon, low above the horizon, turns a crimson, eerie color. The next such eclipse, according to astrologers and astronomers, will occur on September 28, 2015. Like many other eclipses, this one is accompanied by predictions of the end of the world.

Astrologers advise not to succumb to panic, but warn that on this day there may be surges in lunar activity. They can cause unmotivated mood swings in people and, on a global scale, lead to weather cataclysms and escalation of tensions in “hot spots.”

The previous Blood Moon appeared in the night sky on April 4, 2015. Before that, a similar phenomenon occurred in 2014, also twice a year. It is the alarming frequency of such celestial events that fuels the apocalyptic moods lingering in some minds.

The End of the World on September 28, 2015

Grim predictions about the end of the world are associated not only with the consecutive appearance of the Four Blood Moons. Such astronomical phenomena rarely occur with such enviable consistency. The number four is considered significant: in many teachings, this number is deciphered as a symbol of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It turns out that for two years in a row, they have alternately appeared in the sky above the Earth.

Moreover, for the second year in a row, lunar eclipses coincide in dates with Jewish celebrations called Sukkot and Passover. These festivities are associated with the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. Such a coincidence alarms and frightens many astrologers and forecasters, especially since it happens extremely rarely: Blood Moons have fallen on major Jewish holidays only seven times since the birth of Christ.

Whether you expect the end of the world or prefer to be an optimist, you should not miss the lunar eclipse. The next opportunity to admire such an ominous Moon will not come soon. So, watch the sky on September 28 and check astrological forecasts.
