William Lilly and His Predictions
The famous English astrologer William Lilly was summoned to the House of Commons, where he was asked to explain the causes of the plague and its culprits, as well as the reasons for the Great Fire of London, since these events had been predicted by him fifteen years earlier. William Lilly replied that he could not identify any causes and that what happened should be attributed directly to the finger of God. King Charles I consulted Lilly about his fate, and he was advised to travel east for safety. Instead, the king went west, which ended tragically, as history shows. In recognition of his astrological abilities, King Charles X of Sweden presented him with a gold chain and a medal. (Manly P. Hall, Astrology: The Keys to Understanding. Translated from English.
