Pluto square: Angelic wings grow from the places rubbed raw by the cross of fate. The influence of Pluto’s square manifests as a certain discomfort for the individual, demanding sacrifices in the areas ruled by the planet involved; at least this is how it will seem to the person. One must come to terms with the idea that these sacrifices will be required at inopportune moments and will bring unpleasant consequences that appear entirely unnecessary and unwarranted—yet such is the nature of this karmic program. The Pluto square is an aspect of Job, which fortunately does not always go to such extremes. The planetary principle’s manifestations in the external world will sharply dissatisfy the person, giving rise to a desire to bring order to this area of the world, for which appropriate authority will be needed. However, karma’s intention is precisely the opposite: to bring clarity and order into the domain of the planetary principle within the person’s inner world and subconscious. To achieve this, the individual must gain mastery over their instincts and lower impulses related to the planet. Until this is realized, the person will repeatedly face difficult sacrifices and a fate that relentlessly pursues them to the extent they provoke it—whether subconsciously or consciously, intentionally or accidentally, from good or bad motives. A crucial point is that in the planet’s domain, the person possesses a kind of magnifying glass that vividly reveals their own (and others’) smallest imperfections and errors. This aspect offers great potential for inner development and self-purification, while simultaneously producing in the world dictatorial-type black teachers who exterminate the lower and middle expressions of the planetary principle in the external world through power, fire, and sword, leaving room only for the most refined (which remain unseen), or sometimes just scorched earth. At the average level, a harsh behavior combining elements of blunt command and nihilism toward others is typical, coupled with a desire to master the planetary principle personally. Internally, the person strongly wishes to reveal their ideal to the world, but this consistently fails, or (in the person’s view) the world simply hasn’t evolved enough to recognize the perfection revealed to it. Chiron square: Having descended to the bottom of the stream of life, one should not release bubbles without good reason. The Chiron square presents the individual, in the planet’s spheres of influence, with strong, incomprehensible, and seemingly utterly insurmountable developmental deadlocks, which are slow to open. If the square is in the fixed cross, these may be minor cul-de-sacs constantly replacing one another, behind which, however, one large recurring deadlock can be discerned. The Chiron square signifies a karmic demand to view the planet and its associated issues in a non-standard way—particularly, to seek their source in one’s own imperfection, in the disharmony between subconscious programs, and in adherence to social stereotypes, which Chiron always overcomes, and in the case of a square, does so most intensely. The Chiron square does not allow the individual to follow conventional views and stereotypes in the corresponding areas: they quickly lead action into a blind alley, unleashing incredible chaos, behind which something stands—though what exactly remains unclear. At the average level, the person may develop an attitude resembling black humor, which is better than panic but still not truly constructive. Here, the individual needs to gain self-understanding, comprehend the role of the planetary principle in their life (both external and internal), and do something constructive from Chiron’s perspective—that is, to materialize certain subtle plans related to the planet. This usually appears as a materialized miracle, yet one that can be taught to others. At a high level, this aspect brings breakthroughs into great creativity within the planet’s domains and the ability to uncover original talents in others, yet also a persistent sense of dissatisfaction—both with one’s own methods and specific achievements—as if someone standing behind the person, with undisguised mockery escalating into outright derision, keeps saying: “And?” At a low level, the individual may set themselves the goal of discrediting any creative expressions of the planetary principle and may achieve a certain degree of success in this, especially regarding those personally connected to them.
