NASA Revealed How a UFO Tracked Astronauts Fifty Years Ago

NASA photos taken during the “Mercury” program – a project through which Americans launched their first astronaut into space – have been published on the University of Arizona website. The photos show something very strange – a disc-shaped UFO.

On May 5, 1961 – almost a month after Yuri Gagarin’s flight – Alan Shepard launched. He did not orbit the Earth, but merely “jumped” 186 kilometers high and splashed down 486 kilometers from the launch site. He performed a so-called suborbital flight. Only on February 20, 1962, did John Glenn reach orbit and spend 4 hours and 43 minutes in space, according to KP.

Before these and subsequent crewed flights, Americans sent empty capsules designed for the crew to test all systems. One such experimental flight took place on December 19, 1960, as part of preparations for launching a chimpanzee astronaut. The capsule (Mercury-Redstone-1A) ascended to 210 km. An automatic camera installed on board took several dozen photos.

An object, very similar to a “flying saucer,” is visible in several photos. It appears to be approaching the American spacecraft, increasing in size. Scott believes that inside the object are aliens. They are observing space exploration. They don’t hide because they know there’s no one on board. But they don’t know there’s a camera recording.

NASA has not commented on the appearance of the UFO near “Mercury.” It cannot be space debris – near-Earth space was not yet cluttered then. Nor can it be one of the artificial satellites already launched by the USSR and the USA by the end of 1960. They flew higher. Only one assumption remains: aliens were indeed captured by the lens.
