Moon-Saturn Opposition
(Transit: Moon → Natal Saturn)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child is hardworking and perceptive but may be prone to discouragement and sadness. They lack self-confidence, and their emotional expression may be restrained. They may feel that one or even both parents do not love them and may feel very lonely. Parents should give the child as much positive energy as possible and praise them. The child should be taught as early as possible to cope with feelings of fear and anxiety.
Het Monster. Aspects
Risk of drowning if the Moon is in the 8th house. Generally—lethargy, passivity. Careless actions. Depression, lack of faith in oneself. Inability to dedicate oneself to a partner, especially in women. “Inner cheerlessness.” Obsession. Boredom. Inability to make life cozy. Marriage as a duty, suppression of desire.
Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary
Opposition, square: rooted in fixation on childhood problems and painful experiences. This is a typical aspect associated with the “breast deprivation complex”: the child cannot reconcile with their separation from the mother’s body. Hence—fear of loneliness, a sense of insecurity, difficulties in adapting to “adult” roles (fixation on childhood). As compensation, greed or a tendency to withdraw develops—these are qualities inherent to these aspects; their forms of manifestation depend on the level of personal development.

Moon opposition: By restraining the aggressiveness of your desires, you help establish peace on Earth. An opposition of a planet to the Moon gives a very biased attitude toward the planetary principle, which is felt as vitally important, and at least the planet’s manifestations are experienced very emotionally. At a low level, a person constantly tries to take an egocentric position, that is, to internalize and emphasize the Moon, resulting in the planetary principle being externalized, often in the form of another person onto whom all one’s inner dissatisfaction and disharmony is projected—i.e., the partner is declared the culprit of all troubles. If the Moon is opposed to Mercury, a partner who carelessly gives good advice risks provoking a tantrum like: “I am so unhappy, and it’s all your fault and your stupid advice and reasoning!” Unable to take an unselfish position, decisively unable to do so, which with a damaged chart can lead to nervous and somatic illnesses. Habits, the physical body, one’s homeland, or people are taken as a basis for one’s position, accepting the planetary principle (and the house where the planet is located) as the foundation; for example, in a Moon opposition to Venus, the position is taken: being fat and eating a lot is ugly, and the person goes on a grueling diet, but their willpower lasts only until the Moon, striving for slenderness, cheerfully munches a sandwich with smoked meat while watching figure skating on TV without any ulterior motives. Here, the main problem is reconciling planetary principles: the Moon must abandon the idea of consuming the planetary principle entirely (which would kill it), but at the same time not starve the person, i.e., find a balanced diet. Working through this is difficult, requiring self-sacrifice, discipline (Saturn), and inner honesty (Neptune, Pluto), but yields excellent results: the person subtly, deeply, and confidently masters the planetary principle, which becomes a natural and reliable support for them. Saturn opposition: A person clearly hears the voice of reason, but it is unpleasant to them. An opposition of a planet to Saturn actualizes the problem of inner discipline and external restrictions in the areas related to it. Generally, a major aspect of a planet to Saturn creates a deep desire to thoroughly understand its principle, which is initially presented in a person in a strongly frozen and unworked form. For the opposition, resistance to working through and deep study of the planetary principle is characteristic, expressed in the fact that as soon as a person gathers internally, focuses, and begins to carefully examine the issue, it immediately becomes empty, flat, and completely uninteresting. Unworked Saturn kills any life in any matter it touches, and in this case, that life goes outward, meaning the planetary principle suddenly appears in the external world and seems unattainable. As a result, a person develops a false impression that the planetary principle is completely inaccessible to them, which in the case of Pluto can be endured, but with Venus or the Moon, it is much more difficult, and frustrations, neuroses, and complete emotional rigidity may occur. On the other hand, attempts to emphasize the planet’s principle and identify with it are often accompanied by complete disregard for Saturn’s principle, i.e., deep and thorough internal processing, while simultaneously strengthening rigid Saturnian restrictions in the areas governed by the planet. Here, karma demands that the person establish very clear interaction between the principles of the planet and Saturn, i.e., necessary self-restraint and precision in the chosen direction. With poor processing and especially careless forceful methods, which Saturn does not tolerate, the planet can literally get stuck at a dead point (meaning its principle will be completely frozen in Saturn’s lower octave), and it will be very difficult to bring it out; working through Neptune and Pluto, as well as harmonious influences from Jupiter or Chiron, helps. At a high level, this opposition gives extraordinary precision, depth, and effectiveness in the planet’s manifestations, as well as greater stability in the areas it governs due to wisdom and foresight.

Governor of all chronic diseases. Saturn’s diseases are always chronic. Saturn leads to prolonged, lingering, and chronic illnesses and ailments caused by cold, drafts, and carelessness: “You carried out a bucket, didn’t you, without putting on a warm jacket?”
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
Repression, stagnation, as they cling to fruitful relationships and family ties. Often, parents are responsible for children developing rigidity at an early age. In relationships with people, there is a lack of flexibility and optimism. They are often dull and uncomfortable for others. They like to weigh relationships, compare them with past experiences, and disappointments. This hinders natural communication. They are constrained and unnatural in their reactions. The development of abilities is often hindered by imagined parental and family obligations or financial difficulties. They find it difficult to form friendships or families against this backdrop. Poverty of imagination, complexes, emotional coldness, indifference, lack of contact. It is possible that domestic and professional obligations will come into conflict. Superiors remind them of their parents, so they do not know how to behave with them.
S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets
“The Seal of Satan,” a victim or tool of dark forces. Such an interaction of these planets brings about mental sorrow, pain, pessimism, discouragement, depression, whining. A gloomy, joyless view of the world, disbelief in goodness, distrust, suspicion, envy, cunning, dishonesty, greed, laziness, fatigue, indecision, phobias, fears, disappointments, inner torment, dissatisfaction, wasted opportunities, poverty, misfortune, disgrace, slander. Poor health, risk of meningitis, an unhappy marriage. The positive side of these aspects—depth of soul, resilience, firmness, discipline, seriousness, great diligence, the ability to perform the most difficult or unpopular work, attention to detail, and methodicalness.
