Venus – Jupiter

Venus – Jupiter

(Transit Venus → Natal Jupiter)

Various sources for the child’s horoscope

Your child has optimism, generosity, and a strong need for communication with others. They love being the center of attention. They enjoy reading and traveling. They are good at public speaking and may have talents in literature. For their creative expression, they often seek help from others. Perhaps a teacher or another authoritative figure serves as a source of inspiration for them. For the parents of this child, their excessive carefreeness, extravagance, or laziness may become a problem.

Het Monster. Aspects

Sweet and soft, yet doomed. In wealth, there is softness and a thirst for pleasure. Women are vain, consider themselves charming, and believe everything should revolve around them. They can be sentimental to the point of tears, but when it comes to helping loved ones, they “cannot.” They are fond of sweets. They spend money on luxury items.

Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary

Opposition, square: dissatisfaction in love. This person will always find flaws in their romantic relationships and eagerly magnify them. They crave more and more—almost a painful insatiability of feelings. They cannot find happiness in “legitimate” love, even though Jupiter symbolizes law and adherence to norms. They view love fatalistically, though they bear responsibility for their own choices. Often, they act superficially and unnaturally, desperately wanting to be liked. Nothing is ever enough; they cannot stop because their desires are insatiable.

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects

Venus opposition: The world’s insufficient love for you is not proof of complete selfishness. A Venus opposition creates problems in areas governed by the planet—issues of social interaction, ethical and aesthetic concerns, not to mention emotional ones, especially in love. If the emphasis is on Venus, the person becomes overwhelmed by social norms, conventional ethics, and encounters external manifestations of the planetary principle in the full arsenal of societal clichés—both conscious and unconscious. In general, any expression of the planet is viewed through an aesthetic lens or, even more biased, through the prism of “like—dislike,” “love—hate,” where a peculiar mix of personal sympathies and antipathies blends with society’s imposed standards, which the person initially fails to distinguish. If the emphasis is on the planet itself and the person internalizes its principle, Venus manifests as an external opponent in the form of social influences (often hostile), negative ethical and aesthetic judgments from the outside world, with which the person may stubbornly clash without realizing that the roots of antagonism lie in their own inner conflict. For example, in a Venus opposition to Saturn, the person feels a deep desire to dedicate themselves to serious art. If they emphasize the Venusian principle—seeing themselves as a free artist with no obligations except to live in the world of the Beautiful—they reject Saturn’s principle of discipline, effectively externalizing it, and the lack of genuine, purposeful effort (inner indulgence) weakens Saturn. The world: various external obstacles arise, and there is a general sense that the outside world is cold and disapproving. Conversely, internalizing Saturn—focusing on its principle, turning inward, immersing oneself in solitary serious work, or simply ignoring the world entirely—activates Venus externally: suddenly, guests with champagne appear, invitations pour in (if Venus has harmonious aspects), or sharp social conflicts arise, often with accusations of selfish behavior (if Venus is afflicted). In general, a major aspect of Venus raises the issue of love, and in areas governed by the planet in opposition to Venus, the person at some point faces a pressing question: do they want to love or to be loved themselves? Working through this aspect leads to a stable fusion of the planetary principle with the Venusian one: all manifestations of the planet become perfect in form and filled with love for people; in areas governed by the planet, the person gains a profound understanding of others and the ability to influence large social programs. Jupiter opposition: If we identify with others through pride in them, then by taking pride in ourselves, we project that pride onto someone else. A Jupiter opposition gives the planet (and the person in the areas it governs) a sense of extraordinary importance. Indeed, working through such an opposition grants the planet an exceptionally stable (karmic) privileged position and opportunities for expansion of its principle, which constantly arise both in the person’s life and in the lives of those connected to them. However, at a low level, there is no constructive interaction between the Jupiterian and planetary principles, and depending on the emphasis on the planets in opposition, the person falls into one of two positions. The more pleasant scenario, of course, is when the emphasis is on Jupiter, and the person internally feels like a wealthy potential benefactor of those they deem worthy. However, the planet’s principle is lost in their arrogance, gradually externalized, and begins to work against the person. For example, a Jupiter opposition to Venus may produce a talented and highly erudite art critic, but at a lower level of aspect processing, the person will merely believe (with full inner conviction) that they excel in art (and love), constantly imposing their opinions with aplomb and causing discomfort. (An emphasized Jupiter opposition, such as to a stellium, can, alongside great opportunities and abilities and strong patrons, also bring complete blindness to one’s own greatness, insane arrogance, and total lack of self-criticism.) An emphasis on the planet, on the other hand, activates various temptations, but the work of processing the aspect lies in expanding inner potential. Thus, in a Venus opposition to Jupiter, if the emphasis is on Venus, the alternative might look like this: either external fame, exhibitions, public and international activities, or a shift in creative direction (mastered style or technique) and the development of something new. A Saturn opposition to Jupiter may, at some point, present the person with a choice: either rigid control over numerous subordinates or the development and mastery of vast areas of inner space. Both may be needed in life, but it is important not to confuse these stages of biography.

Frances Sakoian. Aspects

Sweet and soft, yet doomed. In wealth, there is softness and a thirst for pleasure, empty time spent from one party to the next. Women are very vain, consider themselves charming, and believe everything revolves around them, especially if wealthy. They can be sentimental to the point of tears, but when it comes to helping the needy, it turns out to be hypocrisy. They take a lot. Marital problems may arise over religious issues. They love being the center of attention. They are fond of sweets and spend money on luxury items.

S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets

Generosity turns into extravagance, emotional fickleness; a craving for luxury and pleasure; frivolity, laziness, vanity, audacity, inability to live within one’s means, insatiability; a tendency toward fullness; money slips away instantly. The positive side includes rich imagination, talent, creative abilities, artistry, a striving for beauty, generosity, and mercy.
