Semi-sextile of Neptune: My head spins from Earth’s rotation. This is an aspect of great mystics and spiritual teachers who guide humanity’s evolution in accordance with cosmic karma. Sometimes such teachers lead these programs while residing in secluded monasteries and ashrams in relatively pure places on Earth—high in the mountains, for example—or sometimes they incarnate in “civilized” countries and even large cities; then their rational consciousness and perception are artificially narrowed, and they fulfill high cosmic programs without even realizing it, simply through the course of their lives, which is largely determined by the major aspects of their horoscope. At times, rational consciousness shuts off, and the person receives visions of cosmic plans and flows that they barely understand, yet such elevated meditations play a significant, though unclear, role in their inner life. On a lower level, this aspect brings periodic distortions of earthly perception that do not cause the person much trouble until they insist on rationalizing or exploiting them for selfish, lower-order purposes. For profaning high and harmonious cosmic flows, the semi-sextile person is held accountable by the corresponding extraterrestrial egregore, whose ethics may diverge sharply from earthly ethics, and the most common abuses here are drug addiction or hospitalization in a psychiatric ward with a diagnosis of “schizophrenia,” which often precisely reflects this (not necessarily Neptune’s doing). Cosmic flows, even harmonious ones, are extremely harsh for the person, yet just as Earth’s aura and atmosphere protect humans from cosmic radiation in the physical sense, in the realms of the semi-sextile, breaches occur—usually minor but often with far-reaching consequences.
