Semi-Sextile Mars: Which planet symbolizes aggression in Martian astrology? This aspect requires a partial shift of a person’s personal energy toward cosmic vibrations for its realization, which primarily means the subtlety of active actions—something that appears contradictory to the crudeness of earthly reality and brings a person at a low level of processing a great deal of trouble, not only of a metaphysical nature: resisting evil through force is unethical from a cosmic standpoint. However, in the spheres of the planet, a person will actually have to deal not so much with external evil as with internal evil, and moreover, one induced by society, since the person is initially tuned to cosmic energy that is incomprehensible and often unacceptable to the collective subconscious.
Processing occurs through mastering, comprehending, and internally accepting the cosmic vibrations and cosmic ethics of active actions available to the person, which gradually proves to be a more effective protection against the aggression of the external world than initially expected. However, in this case, especially when Mars is afflicted, it is more difficult to rid oneself of internal aggression toward the world and oneself—both overt and repressed—since the semi-sextile demands sterility in this regard; initially, it is present, but gradually disappears, creating a sense of internal disharmony and rigidity that is not entirely clear to the person, as in this case, they are judged not by humanity but by the Cosmos.

Sometimes such teachers lead these programs while residing in secluded monasteries and ashrams in relatively pure places on Earth, for example, high in the mountains, and sometimes they incarnate in “civilized” countries and even large cities; then their rational consciousness and perception are artificially narrowed, and they fulfill high cosmic programs without even realizing it, simply in the course of their lives, which is largely determined by major aspects of the horoscope. Sometimes rational consciousness shuts down, and the person receives visions of cosmic plans and flows that they barely understand, yet such elevated meditations play a significant, though unclear, role in their inner life.
At a low level, this aspect gives periodic distortions of earthly perception, which do not cause the person much trouble until they insist on them and try to rationalize or use them for selfish purposes, for example, to satisfy lower-order desires. For profaning high and harmonious cosmic flows of the semi-sextile, a person answers to the corresponding extraterrestrial egregore, whose ethics may diverge sharply from earthly ethics, and the most common abuses here are drug addiction or hospitalization in a psychiatric ward with a diagnosis of “schizophrenia,” which often precisely indicates (not necessarily of Neptune). Cosmic flows, even harmonious ones, are very harsh for a person, but just as the Earth’s aura and atmosphere protect a person from cosmic radiation in the physical sense of these words, in the spheres of the semi-sextile, a breakthrough occurs—usually minor but often with far-reaching consequences.
