Semi-sextile of Mercury: When aliens from space wish to contact humans, they will announce it through the press. At a low level, this aspect brings a slight mental interest in abstract cosmic themes and narrative twists in the spheres of the planet involved, along with occasional thoughts that do not fit into the standard social framework—thoughts to which a person often pays little attention. When the aspect is strongly activated, it distorts the mental picture of the world in the spheres of the planet, and the person may reject it or even fear their own thoughts. This happens because public subconsciousness imposes a particularly strong censorship on the realm of rational thought; cosmic ethics are largely unacceptable to it, primarily for anthropocentric reasons: after all, “man is the master of all, he decides everything,” and the ultimate spiritual goal of evolution is not something these barely comprehensible words imply. At a higher level of development, a person begins to sense their unique mode of thought and mental control in the spheres of the planet as fresh, creative, and potentially highly promising. However, they may struggle to find common ground with others or even explain to themselves the hidden meaning of what they think and say, even though they feel something is not quite right. Deep processing of the aspect leads to a rational understanding of earthly and, to some extent, cosmic karma in the relevant areas, and then earthly and cosmic rational perspectives align to a significant degree (at a low level, this is impossible, and in cases of a challenged semi-sextile, mental disorders may occur).
Semi-sextile of Chiron: Astronauts do not look down on Earth with arrogance. This is a very promising aspect; in the spheres of the planet involved, a person has a non-standard channel connecting them to the Cosmos, and processing it yields tangible results—unexpected but practical ideas and opportunities. However, to achieve this, one must move beyond not only the standard social but even the earthly way of seeing and perceiving, and to some extent master cosmic ethics. Chiron, as the symbolic ruler of the second house, is associated with ethical behavior in any environment, and in this case, a person must master both cosmic and earthly ethics, especially behavior in their borderland. Only after this can they translate the subtle cosmic plane into earthly forms without gross distortion or profanation. If successful, the results can be astonishing. For example, a Chiron–Moon semi-sextile can bestow subtle healing and diagnostic abilities for physical ailments, but only if the person learns to consciously and subconsciously perceive themselves as a conduit for a higher healing (and diagnostic) channel, and views each of their patients as a microcosm. During treatment, they will maintain integrity, or use other, albeit more abstract and cosmic concepts—but the key is to adhere to cosmic ethics of the corresponding egregore in earthly interactions with patients.
