Semi-sextile of Mercury: When aliens from space wish to establish contact with humanity, they will announce it through the press. At a low level, this aspect brings a slight mental interest in abstract cosmic themes and narrative twists in the spheres of the planet involved, along with occasional thoughts that do not fit into the standard social framework—thoughts the person usually pays little attention to. A strong activation of the aspect creates a sharp distortion of the mental picture of the world in the spheres of the planet, which may be rejected or even feared. This happens because public subconsciousness imposes particularly strong censorship on the rational mind; cosmic ethics are largely unacceptable to it, primarily for anthropocentric reasons: after all, “man is the master of all, he decides everything,” and the ultimate spiritual goal of evolution is not something these barely comprehensible words convey. At a higher level of development, a person begins to sense their unique way of thinking and mental control in the spheres of the planet as fresh, creative, and potentially very promising, though they may struggle to find common ground with others or even explain to themselves the hidden meaning of their thoughts and words. Deep processing of the aspect leads to rational understanding of earthly and partially cosmic karma in the relevant areas, and then earthly and cosmic rational visions align to a significant extent (at a low level, this is impossible, and with a debilitated semi-sextile, mental disorders may sometimes occur).
Semi-sextile of Neptune: My head spins from the Earth’s rotation. This aspect belongs to high mystics and great spiritual teachers who guide the evolution of humanity in accordance with cosmic karma. Sometimes such teachers lead these programs while residing in secluded monasteries and ashrams in relatively pure places on Earth, such as high in the mountains; other times, they incarnate in “civilized” countries and even large cities, where their rational consciousness and perception are artificially narrowed. They fulfill high cosmic programs without even realizing it, simply through the course of their lives, which is largely determined by major aspects of the horoscope. Sometimes rational consciousness shuts down, and the person experiences visions of cosmic plans and flows they barely understand, yet such elevated meditations play a significant, though unclear, role in their inner life. At a low level, this aspect causes periodic distortions in earthly perception that do not bring the person much trouble until they insist on rationalizing them or attempt to use them for selfish, lower-order purposes. Profaning high and harmonious cosmic flows of the semi-sextile incurs responsibility before the corresponding extraterrestrial egregore, whose ethics may diverge sharply from earthly ethics. The most common abuses here include drug addiction or hospitalization in a psychiatric ward with a diagnosis of “schizophrenia,” which often precisely indicates (not necessarily of Neptune). Cosmic flows, even harmonious ones, are very harsh for humans, but just as cosmic radiation in the physical sense is shielded by Earth’s aura and atmosphere, in the spheres of the semi-sextile, a breakthrough occurs—usually minor but often with far-reaching consequences.
