Semi-sextile of Saturn: There are spots on the Sun of the inner sky. This aspect signifies great responsibility before cosmic karma in the spheres of the planet, the possibility of its deep understanding, and, when worked through, promises otherworldly wisdom and perfection. At a low level, a person will limit themselves to claims about the low quality of what happens in the external world in the spheres of the planet, not understanding, first, that their demands are often poorly understood by others, usually standing entirely on earthly positions, and, second, that karma in this case primarily implies inner work toward an ever-deeper meaning in cosmic (not just earthly) evolution. Until a person reaches this level of understanding, the spheres of the planet will attract them, and they may understand them more deeply than others, yet, for reasons unclear to themselves, their level will not satisfy them. With Saturn afflicted in connection with this, complexes and phobias may arise, accompanied by genuine bewilderment toward the environment, inner world, or God: “What else do you want from me?!” Indeed, the demands—or rather expectations (after all, a semi-sextile is a harmonious aspect)—of worldly karma in this case are high, and superficial or short-lived efforts will not suffice.
In its harmonious form, this aspect grants relatively deep penetration and original vision in the spheres of the planet within the natural course of life, not immediately but without excessive effort. Although this is insufficient, harmonious aspects can mask subtle dissatisfaction with the cosmic egregore and, accordingly, a slight discomfort in the inner world, which intensifies when the inner world is affected.
Semi-sextile of Neptune: My head spins from the Earth’s rotation. This aspect belongs to high mystics and great spiritual teachers who guide humanity’s evolution in accordance with cosmic karma. Sometimes such teachers lead these programs while residing in secluded monasteries and ashrams in relatively pure places on Earth, such as high in the mountains; other times, they incarnate in “civilized” countries and even large cities. In such cases, their rational consciousness and perception are artificially narrowed, and they fulfill high cosmic programs without even realizing it, simply in the course of their lives, which is largely determined by major aspects of the horoscope. Sometimes rational consciousness shuts down, and the person experiences visions of cosmic plans and flows that they barely understand, yet such elevated meditations play a significant, though unclear, role in their inner life.
At a low level, this aspect manifests as periodic distortions of earthly perception, which do not cause the person much trouble until they insist on them and attempt to rationalize or use them for selfish purposes of a lower order. For profaning high and harmonious cosmic flows of the semi-sextile, a person answers to the corresponding extraterrestrial egregore, whose ethics may diverge sharply from earthly ones. The most common abuses here include drug addiction or hospitalization in a psychiatric ward with a diagnosis of “schizophrenia,” which often precisely indicates (not necessarily of Neptune). Cosmic flows, even harmonious ones, are very harsh for the person, yet, like cosmic radiation in the physical sense of the words, they are shielded by the earthly aura and atmosphere. In the spheres of the semi-sextile, a breach occurs—usually minor but often with far-reaching consequences.
