Mercury’s semi-sextile: When extraterrestrials wish to make contact with humanity, they will announce it through the press. At a low level, this aspect imparts in the planet’s spheres a slight mental interest in abstract cosmic themes and tangential thoughts that do not fit into the standard social framework—ideas to which the person usually pays little attention. A strong activation of the aspect may cause a sudden distortion of the mental worldview within the planet’s spheres, making one unable to accept or even frightened by one’s own thoughts. This occurs because public subconsciousness has imposed an especially strong censorship upon rational thinking; cosmic ethics are largely unacceptable to it, predominantly due to anthropocentric reasoning: “Man is master of all, he decides everything,” and the ultimate spiritual goal of evolution remains meaningless, as these obscure words convey nothing. At a higher level of development, the individual begins to perceive their unique way of thinking and mental management within the planet’s spheres as fresh, creative, and potentially very promising, although they remain unable to find a common language with others or even clearly explain to themselves the hidden meaning of their own thoughts and speech, sensing nevertheless that something here is amiss. Deep work with the aspect brings rational understanding of earthly and partially cosmic karma in the corresponding areas, after which earthly and cosmic rational perception largely align (at a low level this is impossible, and when the semi-sextile is afflicted, mental disorders may sometimes occur).
