Venus semi-sextile: Contact between people and extraterrestrials will begin when it is overseen by the ministry of culture. This aspect imparts (especially in the areas of the planet) a cosmic emphasis in the sense of harmony; when developed, this may manifest as an artist, poet, or musician whose aesthetics are governed by laws previously unknown to Earth; at a lower level, especially if Venus is afflicted, there may be a rejection of conventional standards of beauty, which will seem mundane and bland to the person, drawing them instead to starry patterns and the shimmering hues of the aurora borealis. In social perception and social ethics within the planetary spheres, this individual may experience difficulties due to their cosmic-terrestrial duality in these matters: ordinary earthly perception and ethics may unexpectedly shift into incomprehensible others, where obvious tragedy appears as farce, and trivial matters take on unnatural significance. For example, to work with the semi-sextile Sun-Venus, one must understand and internalize cosmic courtesy in one’s initiatives and acts of will when interacting with other people, even with those who at first glance do not deserve even ordinary earthly consideration, and until the person achieves this, they may occasionally be tormented by feelings of guilt toward them and toward someone else, since their behavior toward others disrupts harmony in the Cosmos—and, of course, within the person’s own soul. Neptune semi-sextile: The Earth’s rotation makes me dizzy. This is the aspect of high mystics and great spiritual teachers who guide humanity’s evolution according to cosmic karma. Sometimes such teachers carry out these programs while residing in secluded monasteries and ashrams in relatively pure places on Earth, for example, high in the mountains, while at other times they incarnate in “civilized” countries and even in large cities; in the latter case, their rational consciousness and perception are artificially narrowed, and they fulfill high cosmic programs without conscious awareness, simply through the course of their lives, which are predominantly shaped by major aspects in the horoscope. Sometimes rational consciousness shuts off entirely, and the person experiences visions of cosmic plans and currents which they barely understand, yet such elevated meditations play a significant, albeit obscure, role in their inner life. At a lower level, this aspect produces periodic distortions of earthly perception that do not bring the person particular discomfort—until they begin insisting on them, attempting to analyze them rationally or exploit them for selfish purposes, for example, to satisfy lower desires. For the profanation of high and harmonious cosmic currents indicated by the semi-sextile, the person is accountable before the corresponding extraterrestrial egregore, whose ethics may differ greatly from earthly standards, and the most common abuses here are drug addiction or hospitalization in a psychiatric clinic with a diagnosis of “schizophrenia,” which often precisely signifies this (not necessarily Neptune). Cosmic currents, even harmonious ones, are extremely intense for humans, but just as the Earth’s aura and atmosphere protect humanity from cosmic radiation in the physical sense, they also provide shielding here; yet in the areas of the semi-sextile, a breach occurs—usually minor, but often with far-reaching consequences.
