Venus semi-sextile: Contact between humans and extraterrestrials will begin when it is overseen by the Ministry of Culture. This aspect imparts (especially in the areas of the Planet) a cosmic emphasis in the sense of harmony; when developed, this may manifest as an artist, poet, or musician whose aesthetics are governed by laws previously unknown to Earth; at a lower level, especially if Venus is afflicted, there may be a rejection of conventional standards of beauty, which will seem mundane and bland to the person, drawing them instead to starry patterns and the shimmering hues of the aurora borealis. In social perception and social ethics within the Planet’s spheres, this individual may experience difficulties due to their cosmic-terrestrial duality in these matters: ordinary earthly perception and ethics may unexpectedly shift into incomprehensible alternatives, where obvious tragedy appears as farce, and trivial matters take on unnatural significance. For example, to work with the Sun-Venus semi-sextile, one must understand and internalize cosmic courtesy in one’s initiatives and expressions of will when interacting with other people—even with those who, at first glance, do not deserve even ordinary earthly respect—and until the person achieves this, they may occasionally suffer feelings of guilt toward them and toward someone else, since their behavior toward others disrupts harmony in the Cosmos—and, of course, within the person’s own soul. Saturn semi-sextile: On the Sun of the inner sky, there are sunspots. This aspect signifies great responsibility before cosmic karma in the Planet’s spheres, the possibility of its deep understanding, and, when properly worked through, promises unearthly wisdom and perfection. At a lower level, the person may limit themselves to complaints about the low quality of what occurs in the external world within the Planet’s spheres, without realizing, first, that their demands are often poorly understood by others, who usually stand entirely on earthly ground, and second, that in this case karma primarily implies inner work toward ever-deeper meaning in cosmic (not merely earthly) evolution. Until the person reaches this level of understanding, the Planet’s spheres will continue to attract them, and they may comprehend them more deeply than those around them, yet their own level, for reasons unclear even to themselves, will still not satisfy them. If Saturn is afflicted in connection with this, complexes and phobias may arise, accompanied by sincere bewilderment toward the surrounding environment, inner world, or God: “Well, what more do you want from me?!” Indeed, the demands—or rather, expectations (after all, the semi-sextile is a harmonious aspect)—of world karma in this case are great, and superficial or short-term efforts will not suffice. In its harmonious form, this aspect grants relatively deep insight and original perception in the Planet’s spheres through the natural course of life—not immediately, but also without special effort—and although this is insufficient, harmonious aspects may camouflage a subtle dissatisfaction of the cosmic egregore and, accordingly, a slight discomfort within the inner world, particularly when the inner world is afflicted.
