Semi-Sextile Venus – Jupiter
(Transit Venus → Natal Jupiter)

Semi-Sextile Venus: Contacts between people and extraterrestrials will begin when the Ministry of Culture takes responsibility for them. This aspect gives (especially in the planet’s spheres) a cosmic accent to the sense of harmony; with the aspect’s development, this could be an artist, poet, or musician whose aesthetics are governed by laws previously unknown to Earth. On a lower level, especially with Venus afflicted, there may be a rejection of conventional norms of beauty, which will seem mundane and dull to the person, drawing them instead to patterns of the starry sky and the shimmer of the aurora. In social perception and ethics within the planet’s spheres, this person will face difficulties due to their dual cosmic-Earth polarity in these matters: ordinary Earthly perception and ethics may suddenly shift into something incomprehensible, where an obvious tragedy is seen as a farce, and trivial things take on an unnatural significance.
For example, to work through the semi-sextile Sun–Venus, one must understand and assimilate cosmic politeness in their initiatives and volitional expressions when communicating with others—even those who, at first glance, do not deserve even ordinary Earthly courtesy. Until a person does this, they may be tormented by a sense of guilt toward them and others, as their behavior disrupts harmony in the Cosmos—and, of course, within their own soul.
Semi-Sextile Jupiter: A priori categories are given to a person as reminders of their cosmic origin. On a high level of development, this aspect grants distant access to extraterrestrial karmic programs, meaning breakthroughs in understanding the nature of things and creation—and weaving threads of cosmic harmony into Earthly karma—once the geocentric internal position is overcome. Depending on the nature of the planet forming the semi-sextile to Jupiter and its position in the horoscope, this could manifest as philosophers or writers (Mercury), artists (Venus), mystics (Neptune), scientists (Uranus), and so on. In any case, this person will reveal to others something previously unseen, and, trusting their own eyes, they will cautiously adapt and carefully—so as not to destroy the improbable beauty—begin to grasp it, absorbing it within themselves and striving to hear the faintest echo of belonging to world harmony deep within.
On a low level, this aspect may foster contempt for all things Earthly, though cosmic plans will initially feel very faint to the person, so the aspect may primarily manifest as a broad, superficial interest in cosmic aspects of the planet’s spheres and attempts at shallow philosophy—though perhaps with grand pretensions to significance. In a harmonious variant, there may be sources of cosmic grace, but at a level so subtle that a limited person is unlikely to notice it.
