Saturn trine: Evolution is universal. A Saturn trine gives a person natural discipline, concentration, and diligence in areas related to the planet, as well as the desire and ability to shift their burden onto others. On the other hand, even a Saturn trine imposes some restraint, coldness, and rigidity on the planetary principle, which can only be overcome through focused internal processing of the planet’s principle. Here, as is typical of a trine, the obstacle is laziness, which, however, is not obvious since Saturn demands concentration and effort. Nevertheless (in the realm of the planetary principle), a person tends to work exactly as much as circumstances require and no more. And circumstances (regarding areas governed by the planet) never force them to concentrate or delve too deeply or intensely into the subject. While externally the person may appear a hero of selfless labor, their inner concentration and tension tend to be clearly insufficient. A person with a Saturn–Sun trine finds it strange to watch people who cannot gather themselves to do what is objectively necessary, and they are utterly perplexed by the complaints of someone with unaspected Saturn about their inability to focus and discipline themselves in the most urgent circumstances. In practice, however, at a low level, instead of understanding, only a persistent illusion arises, and the enjoyment is of a lower quality, stemming only from the lower octave of the planetary principle. For example, a Neptune–Mars trine may produce a passionate love for lowbrow action films where blood flows in torrents before the viewer’s eyes, freezing their blood (while in personal life, the person may be entirely meek in all respects). A Neptune trine grants excellent abilities and opportunities for processing the planetary principle but simultaneously hinders it, as it creates the illusion that the person has long since fully understood and mastered it. Above all, there is an inner sense of mastery over the planetary principle when, in reality, no mastery exists.
