Sun trine: Feeling fate’s support, consider what exactly is being supported. This is a very strong aspect. Karma seems to allow the planetary principle to live well, harmoniously and happily—at least so it appears to the person at a low level of working with the planet and its trine to the Sun. In reality, karma grants the planetary principle a victorious path, provided the principle is actively worked on; moreover, the person’s will, when directed toward the planetary principle, easily acquires constructive direction—if the person desires it. If the person wishes to exploit the planetary principle, their will again encounters no resistance. Therefore, one should not assume that the Sun trine signifies flourishing of the planetary principle; with equal success, it may indicate its decay (though still under a beautiful facade), if the person’s will is directed toward predatory consumption and unwise usage. In this sense, the Sun-Moon trine is particularly dangerous, especially with a strong Sun, as it permits overly easy exploitation of health for the sake of personal will, which in practice most often means the will of some rigid egregore. Overall, the interpretation of the trine in general, and especially the Sun trine, depends greatly on the level of its integration. At a low level, with an egoistic orientation of will, the person will soon encounter the unpleasant effect that external imperative circumstances only seemingly, very superficially, support the planetary principle, while internally—essentially—the principle does not develop but gradually stagnates, and the person becomes hopeless. Conversely, active work on the planetary principle and its development will receive great karmic support, which will seem entirely natural to the person, yet will be the result of their volitional efforts, supported by the planet’s trine. Here it is very important not to stop, because the creatively supportive influence of the trine ends immediately upon weakening of the person’s constructive volitional effort, turning into a predatory force—that is, one which forcibly extracts harmony from the environment and gives it to the person, but in a form that holds no interest for them. In the spheres ruled by the planet, it is dangerous to contend with such a person: the force supporting harmony around them will not hesitate to deal with you. When interpreting this trine, it is also important to consider the relative strength of the Sun and the planet, but here one should rely not only on the horoscope, but also on the person’s specific life circumstances. In any case, the person will sincerely believe that their will and initiative in the sphere of the planetary principle are flawless, and it is practically impossible to convince them otherwise. Chiron trine: Words as children: effortlessly playing only by themselves. The Chiron trine gives the person in the areas influenced by the planet a remarkable freshness of perception of the world and of their own expressions. They somehow manage to look at things in an entirely unusual yet highly convincing way, and to show them to others so that what has been seen is difficult to forget or suppress. Often this aspect gives a unique sense of humor and the ability to entertain those around, sometimes thoroughly confusing and bewildering them, which brings the person great pleasure. At a high level, this aspect provides insight into and development of the planetary principle that appears miraculous to contemporaries, yet becomes foundational for subsequent generations: what Chiron reveals eventually becomes mainstream. At a low level, the person tends to exploit the Chiron trine without effort, growing accustomed to the fact that various chaotic and surprising situations quickly and painlessly resolve themselves, usually turning out to be fate’s witty joke. However, the person who believes they have fully understood Chiron’s humor, and especially one who thinks the influence of this planet will not touch them personally, is deeply mistaken. When fate’s humor affects essential areas of their own life (and planetary principles always belong to these), the person is usually far from laughing, and desperately tries to understand what exactly is happening to them—but the unprocessed Chiron trine does not provide this understanding, and although eventually a way out of the developmental impasse usually arises, it comes with the feeling that they have ended up at a stage performance in a foreign country, poorly understanding the language and vainly trying to grasp the emcee’s puns—while the entire audience is dying of laughter—for reasons unknown.
