Sun – Neptune Trine
(Transit. Sun → Natal Neptune)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child has a highly developed creative imagination. They easily attune to subtle emotional levels and find it easier to play roles than to discover themselves. They will draw creative strength and inspiration from theater, dance, music, and religion. Such a child loves all things living. It is difficult for the child to see the “real” father. Perhaps the child perceives the father almost as a saint and feels disappointment when realizing that this is not the case.

This combination: the blending of the conscious and the irrational creates a rather enigmatic individual who does not always understand who they are and is difficult to unravel. This is a highly sensitive, receptive person drawn to everything that transcends ordinary perception and logic. Often an idealist and mystic, they seek an abstract absolute. Trine, sextile: there is no true blending, but there is a certain current that provides a harmonizing influence and makes perception more refined. Overall, the meaning remains the same as for the conjunction.

Sun trine: Feeling supported by fate, consider what exactly it is supporting. This is a very strong aspect. Karma seems to guide the planetary principle to live well, harmoniously, and happily—at least, this is how it appears to the person at a low level of processing the planet and its trine to the Sun. In reality, karma grants the planetary principle a victorious path on the condition of its cultivation; moreover, the person’s will, when directed toward the planetary principle, easily finds a constructive direction—if the person so desires. If the person wishes to utilize the principle of the planet, their will again encounters no resistance. Therefore, one should not assume that the Sun trine signifies the prosperity of the planetary principle; with equal likelihood, it may indicate its decay (though still under a beautiful facade) if the person’s will is directed toward predatory consumption and irrational use. In this sense, the Sun trine—especially with a strong Sun—is particularly dangerous, as it allows for the too-easy exploitation of health in the service of human will, which in practice most often means the will of a rigid egregore. Overall, the interpretation of a trine in general and the Sun trine in particular depends heavily on the level of its cultivation. At a low level, with an ego-driven will, the person will soon encounter the unpleasant effect that external imperative circumstances superficially seem to favor the planetary principle, while internally—i.e., fundamentally—they neither develop nor progress but gradually stagnate, becoming hopeless. Conversely, active cultivation of the planetary principle and its development will find strong support from karma, which will appear entirely natural to the person but will be the result of their volitional efforts, reinforced by the planet’s trine. Here, it is crucial not to stop, as the creative and supportive influence of the trine ceases immediately upon the weakening of the person’s constructive volitional effort, transforming into a predatory one—i.e., forcibly extracting harmony from the environment and delivering it to the person in an uninteresting form. In the areas governed by the planet, it is dangerous to fight this person: the force that supports harmony around them will show no mercy.
When interpreting this trine, it is also important to consider the relative strength of the Sun and the planet, though here one should look not only at the birth chart but also at the specific circumstances of the person’s life. In any case, the person will sincerely believe that their will and initiative in the sphere of the planetary principle are flawless, and it will be nearly impossible to convince them otherwise.
Neptune trine: Understanding others begins with understanding their mistakes. This is an aspect of happiness, understanding, easy deception, and fortunate self-deception, which karmically leads to far less pleasant consequences but under the guidance of more certain planets than Neptune. Here, the interpretation largely depends on the level of development of Neptune’s principles, particularly the level of inner honesty, especially regarding the planetary principle, and the person’s natural level of meditation. Generally speaking, the Neptune trine promises excellent intuitive understanding of the planetary principle and enjoyment merely from its activation (which the person can, if desired, teach to others). In practice, however, at a low level, instead of understanding, there arises only a persistent illusion, and the enjoyment is of a lower quality, deriving only from the lower octave of the planetary principle. For example, the Neptune–Mars trine may inspire a passionate love for lowbrow action films where blood flows in torrents before the viewer’s eyes, freezing their blood (while the person may be entirely meek in their personal life). The Neptune trine grants excellent abilities and opportunities for cultivating the planetary principle but simultaneously hinders this cultivation, as it creates the illusion in the person that they have long since fully comprehended and mastered it—and, most importantly, an inner sense of possessing the essence of the planetary principle, when in reality, no true mastery exists.
If the person does not pursue the path of sober and honest cultivation of the planetary principle and understanding its true level and role in their life but instead prefers to deceive themselves and others—a talent they will certainly possess—their innate abilities will gradually decline, along with their level of meditation and inner honesty, leading to alcohol, drugs, and the disintegration of the personality. This person must seek high spiritual guidance in the spheres of the planet—and, just in case, work on Pluto. At a high level, they will experience spiritual revelations, a steady flow of harmony, grace, and Divine love that is palpable in any manifestation of the planetary principle.
Frances Sakoian. Aspects
Intuitive abilities, but an emotional nature. This is compassion, whereas with Uranus it is more intellectual. Intuition manifests in art, music, religion, mysticism; spiritual leaders. They love all living things. Sometimes they can strengthen and heal people. Without practical Mercury and Saturn, they may be dreamers. But this aspect also provides practical skills in business, stock speculation. The ability to surrender to the subtle currents of life while knowing when and where to act to accomplish necessary tasks.
