Uranus trine: Genius, like mediocrity, is never moderate. Trines of the outer planets grant a person protection and stability of fate on such high levels that they are usually almost imperceptible. They do not provide something concrete, as do trines of the personal planets, but rather a mystical, barely noticeable sense of someone’s benevolent attention—something akin to a guardian angel with an increased number of wings, the nature of which depends on the specific outer planet forming the trine. Uranus provides an unpredictable, original, inventive, yet generally insufficiently practical guardian angel. In reality, this may not seem so, but only a person who clearly sees karma can appreciate the practicality of Uranus’ trine: they will observe how a firm hand deflects looming dangers from the horizon, while ordinary people remain completely unaware of them. The visible manifestations of Uranus’ trine consist of entirely unexpected ideas, emotions, impulses to action, and ways of perception arising in the spheres ruled by the Planet. Most often, these Uranian details are not only good in themselves (and if not, they can easily be redirected into the external world and become understood by others), but also contribute to a deeper comprehension of the Planet’s principle—through consistent and careful work with the material. If, however, a person remains satisfied with Uranian manifestations merely as they arrive, they cease to perceive the subtler (and more meaningful) hints and interpret the signs correctly, and despite apparent eccentricity and nonconformity, eventually become rather banal and boring to themselves, unable to rise to the level of true creativity when faced with crisis unprepared. An intermediate level of development may produce a talented scientist engaged in genuine research (in fields defined by the Planet), yet predominantly within the framework of traditional approaches, without the desire to undermine foundations or rebuild them on entirely new principles. At a high level—exceptional genius in areas corresponding to the Planet, enabling one to harmoniously, with almost no destruction, reconstruct the situation on new principles, giving the strongest impetus to development, or to resolve a major karmic knot with almost no sacrifices. Pluto trine: Subduing the bulls, gloomily dreaming toward sanctity. The Pluto trine grants the planetary principle protection from excess, meaning that in the relevant areas of life, a person will experience only those unpleasant events that are fated, and no others will threaten them. Moreover, Pluto prepares them in advance for these events, and if the person quickly understands this and cultivates humility toward the minor, albeit irreversible, losses that fate sends, they will not have to endure any major losses or sacrifices (this, of course, refers specifically to this aspect). Thus, the Pluto trine symbolizes harmonious and relatively painless purification, affecting not only the individual but also their environment, especially those people who actively embody the planetary principle for them. Here lies a potential for evasion: instead of humbly accepting fate’s trials and subduing ego resistance, the person may complain and force their surroundings to suffer irreversible losses, thereby becoming a conduit of Plutonian influence and a dark teacher. They may, however, do this quite precisely and carefully, and with certain skill, almost painlessly—but such substitution will leave them unprepared for the strong Plutonian influence that will inevitably and swiftly compel them to make all the same sacrifices they managed to avoid in the previous life, and possibly far more. The Pluto trine demands minor but constant sacrifices from the planetary principle, the meaning of which is the transition from the lower octave of the planet to the higher; the harmony of this transition depends to some extent on the person, but the fact of Pluto’s influence on the planet and its purification through it is independent. Proper work with this aspect leads, in its spheres, to a fundamentally new level, participation in great, powerful, and harmonious programs related to the purification and elevation of its principle in the world or one’s country; without such work, the person loses individual freedom in the areas ruled by the planet and may become a compliant puppet of lower (destructive) Plutonian programs.
