Conjunction: complete confusion in the emotional sphere, which completely absorbs the soul and feelings. Before us stands a romantic idealist who knows no obstacles or boundaries in mutual love. Sometimes their desire to liken a beloved being to their ideal leads them to a kind of “Pygmalion complex”: once placed on a pedestal of harmony, the object of love no longer has the right to step down from it. Often, love is directed more toward an idea, something unreal, than toward an earthly being, who in this case serves merely as a symbol.

Trine, sextile: the same meanings as the conjunction, but in a more subdued form. Such people are characterized by receptivity and attentive treatment of the object of their love.

Venus Trine: Love is such a good thing that it is absolutely incomprehensible how it could cause trouble. The Venus trine grants social protection and luck in areas governed by the planet, quick and easy recognition that the person takes for granted and inwardly values little—unless there are other moments of self-affirmation in life. The Venus trine gives the planet’s principle a natural taste and a good perception of reality, often too harmonious: all ugliness becomes unnoticeable or greatly smoothed over, and a desperate cry for help may sound to the person like a weak and unnecessary request. This aspect (even Venus trine Pluto) makes love a natural state for the person in areas governed by the planet, but at a low level, the person tends to extract this love from the surrounding space (and people), using it for personal gain, though outwardly everything may appear quite decent, natural, and even strangely thoughtless—like a lotus flower that adorns the world simply because it exists and cannot do otherwise.

For example, a Venus trine Pluto at a low level of development brings a plethora of fatal infatuations into a person’s life, from which they usually emerge unscathed and with a decent bouquet (albeit quickly wilting) of flowers of pleasure, while the victims (and, of course, their own lower passions) gladly become the objects of these infatuations and just as gladly leave them. Processing this aspect grants a fine perception of the flaws and vices in the beloved being (and, of course, in oneself), which the person can pinpoint and almost painlessly help overcome—this, in essence, is the karmic program of this aspect. Rare is the partner who can endure such a program for long, but for a short period, it may prove very constructive. At the same time, the person themselves will struggle to expect satisfactory emotional relationships in love, and if, for example, they also have a Uranus square or Saturn opposition, they should not count on a conventionally happy marriage.

At a low level, the Venus trine grants social (and romantic) relaxation, laziness, and parasitism, often in the form of total ingratitude toward people and life for everything they do for the person—something that usually goes unnoticed by others but, in pronounced cases, is experienced as a heavy blow.

Neptune Trine: Understanding another begins with understanding their mistakes. This is an aspect of happiness, understanding, easy deception, and happy self-deception, which karmically lead to far less pleasant consequences but under the guidance of planets more certain than Neptune. Here, the interpretation largely depends on the level of development of Neptune’s principles, particularly the level of inner honesty, especially regarding the planet’s principle, and the natural level of meditation for the person. Generally speaking, the Neptune trine promises fine intuitive understanding of the planet’s principle and enjoyment merely from its activation (which the person can, if desired, teach to others). In practice, however, at a low level, instead of understanding, only a persistent illusion arises, and the enjoyment is of a lower quality, corresponding only to the lower octave of the planet’s principle. For example, a Neptune trine Mars may give a passionate love for lowbrow action films where blood flows in torrents before the viewer’s frozen gaze (while in personal life, the person may be quite meek in all respects).

The Neptune trine grants fine abilities and opportunities for working with the planet’s principle but simultaneously hinders this work, as it creates the illusion in the person that they have long since understood and mastered it well. Above all, it fosters an inner sense of mastery over the planet’s principle when, in reality, no mastery exists. If the person does not take the path of sober and honest assimilation of the planet’s principle and understanding its true level and role in their life but instead prefers to deceive themselves and others—a talent they will certainly possess—their innate abilities will gradually decline, along with their level of meditation and inner honesty, leading to alcohol, drugs, and personality disintegration. This person must seek high spiritual benchmarks in the areas governed by the planet—and, just in case, work on Pluto. At a high level, they will experience spiritual insights, a steady flow of harmony, grace, and Divine love perceptible in any manifestation of the planet’s principle.
