Jupiter trine: The holiday of possibilities that open up is overshadowed by the mourning of their realization. The Jupiter trine is a natural wish for the New Year or free, harmonious abundance, which in a person’s life is often better as a wish than as a reality. The trine, besides harmony and stability, carries with it an element of banality, and if not worked through, can lead to boredom and dullness. For example, with a Mercury trine to any planet, a person will have, alongside cleverness, a deep sense of the mediocrity of their own thoughts, which is truly difficult to overcome (even with a Mercury–Uranus trine, where extreme originality and eccentricity of thought often reveal themselves to be borrowed). Similarly, the Jupiter trine provides general protection in the spheres of the planet, always having a large, embroidered sack of shining opportunities, alternative solutions to difficult situations, and generous patrons ready to give at the first request… but to the consumer, this all seems artificial, though it sometimes pulls a person out of real trouble.
