Jupiter trine: The holiday of opportunities that open up is overshadowed by the mourning of their realization. The Jupiter trine is a natural New Year’s wish, or free harmonious abundance that in a person’s life is often better as a wish than as an embodiment. The reason is that, along with harmony and stability, the trine also carries an element of banality, and if not worked through, boredom and grayness as well. Thus, with a Mercury trine to any planet, a person will have, alongside quick wit, a deep sense of the mediocrity of all their thoughts, and breaking through this is truly difficult (even with a Mercury-Uranus trine, where extreme originality and eccentricity of thought often turn out to be alien upon closer inspection). Similarly, the Jupiter trine provides general protection in the areas governed by the planet, always keeping a large embroidered bag of brilliant opportunities, alternative solutions to difficult situations, benevolent patrons, and generous benefactors at the ready… but to the consumer, all this seems artificial, even though it sometimes pulls a person out of real trouble. Here, it is crucial to understand that these harmonious coincidences and wide opportunities are not for the person themselves but for the planetary principle, for their development and processing, both within the person and in the external world. In other words, the Jupiter trine is like Santa Claus, who freely gives gifts to children, and if he is attentive and selfless, his bag never empties, and extraordinary gifts occasionally appear; but if he directs all gifts exclusively to himself, the bag gradually loses its luster, the gifts fade… and, most importantly, the person develops a strong subconscious dissatisfaction with themselves and their fate, which is often rationalized as a projection: “I do everything for others, but people and the world in general repay me with black ingratitude.” It should be noted that it is precisely consumption and ingratitude (toward people and fate) that characterize the low level of processing the Jupiter trine, though the person themselves will never admit to this. Pluto trine: Plowing through bulls, sullenly dreaming toward sanctity. The Pluto trine gives the planetary principle a year of protection, meaning that in the corresponding areas, only the troubles that are destined will happen to the person, and no others threaten them. Moreover, Pluto prepares them for these troubles in advance, and if the person quickly understands this and cultivates humility in the face of these minor, though irreversible, losses that fate sends, they will not have to make any great sacrifices or losses (this, of course, refers to this aspect). Thus, the Pluto trine symbolizes harmonious and relatively painless purification, which will affect not only the person themselves but also their surroundings, especially those who activate the planetary principle in the person. Here lies the potential for shirking: instead of humbly accepting fate’s trials and subduing the ego’s grumbling, the person may complain and force irreversible losses upon their surroundings, thus becoming a conduit of Plutonic influence and a dark teacher for them. They may do this quite precisely and carefully, and with certain skill, almost painlessly, but such a substitution will leave them unprepared for a strong Plutonic influence, which will inevitably and swiftly force them to make all the sacrifices they avoided in a previous life—and possibly even more. The Pluto trine demands minor but constant sacrifices from the planetary principle, the purpose of which is to transition from the lower octave of the planet to the higher one, and the harmony of this transition depends to some extent on the person, though the fact of Pluto’s influence on the planet and its purification through it does not. Here, processing leads to a fundamentally new level in their areas, participation in great, powerful, and harmonious programs related to the purification and elevation of their principle in the world or their country; without processing, the person loses individual freedom in the areas governed by the planet and may become a docile puppet of lower (destructive) Plutonic programs.
