17th Lunar Day
P.P. Globa. “What the Moon Hides”
Symbolic correspondence: 13th–24th degree of Libra.
Anatomical correspondence:
Action: ecstasy.
Names: Shakti, bell, grape cluster.
Symbol — grape cluster, alarm, bell.
This is a period of attaining inner freedom, the day of the mystery of Dionysus. In Ancient Greece, sacred Bacchanalia were held in honor of this god. In Sanskrit, this day was called the Day of Shakti — the feminine energy. This symbol also denoted dancers, priestesses of love.
This is a day of accumulation and growth, fertility, ecstasy, and joy of being. Favorable for marital relations, pair contacts, feasts, celebrations, and banquets. The most vivid aspect in the description of this day is love, but one should not lose one’s head and remain cautious: due to uncontrolled energy, it contains many surprises.
The day is associated with the transformation of feminine energies, and unsubdued (unrefined) feminine energy can manifest as riotousness or an involuntary outburst.
Household influence:
Unfavorable for monotonous work, reports, and overexertion. Good for travel, trade, pleasures, etc. Favorable for marriage. Lucky for thieves.
The 17th lunar day should ideally be spent as a day of contacts, merriment, and liberation, a day of speeches, songs, mastery of power asanas, group exercises, and sublimation of sexual energy.
The results of this day can vary greatly: at the highest level — access to the key to ideal love, at the lower level — riotousness and drunkenness.
It is recommended to consume dry wine or heated Cahors — a symbol of knowledge of eternity and ecstasy, connection with movement and joy.
Medical influence:
Day of manifestation of infectious diseases. Tense psyche in women. Injury-prone day.
On this day, marriages that will long endure in love are well established. In general, the 12th, 16th, and 17th lunar days are favorable for marriage (on the 16th day, the marriage will be based on harmony, and on the 12th — on the highest love).
People born on the 17th lunar day need their “other half.” They have a great need for a true husband or lover — a source of paired polarity energy; otherwise, the person will be pitiful and weak in life.
Influence on conception:
Conception will occur in joy and merriment, and the child’s character will be equally bright and intoxicating. Capricious success favors those who can laugh at themselves. But be careful — your child may grow up to be a drunkard and liar.
Meditations:
Dance.
Signatures:
Amethyst, zircon, raven’s eye. Stones — transparent amethyst, raven’s and falcon’s eye, zircon.
O. Zarayev. “Interpretation of Lunar Days”
The first half is favorable and allows the use of energy with maximum efficiency. Any personal endeavor, business, or creative process is activated; marital relations improve; sexual energy increases; intuition sharpens; creative ecstasy or a state of enlightenment of ideas appears. Sensual pleasures absorb time or energy, so now it is necessary to be extremely cautious in sexual contacts.
“Days from the New Moon” by Albert the Great
An unlucky day. Nothing should be done. Diseases are severe. Dreams come true within three days. Children are happy.
T. M. Zyurnyaeva. “30 Lunar Days. Everything About Each Day. Lunar Calendar.”
Symbols — “Grape Cluster,” “Alarm,” and “Bells.” This day is also called the Day of Shakti. Shakti is the feminine goddess. The 17th lunar day is a day of feminine energies. On this day, all people go through the process of attaining inner freedom. You can allow yourself to laugh, tune in to seeing the humorous and joyful. It is recommended to do everything that comes naturally — this will also bring joy and pleasure. It is good to arrange celebrations, drink heated wine, and marriages are favorable. A marriage concluded on the 17th lunar day will be based on sexual harmony between spouses. Marriages are also well registered on the 16th and 12th lunar days. On the 12th lunar day, the marriage will be founded on the highest cosmic love, and on the 16th lunar day, it will be based on harmony.
On the 17th lunar day, one should not have complexes or quarrel. It is necessary to cultivate a sense of inner freedom. We have special days for self-reflection. It is better to try to avoid difficulties and not create them artificially on this day. One should refuse all incoming offers, i.e., not create debts for oneself or make promises, as this is a day of inner freedom. Conflicts that destroy the sense of inner freedom should be avoided. The day should be spent striving for harmony. This is a day of paired contacts. Both women and men recharge their energy, so sexual contact is very favorable.
The 17th lunar day is associated with the endocrine system, pituitary gland, kidneys, adrenal glands, and the Hara chakra. It is useful to take diuretics.
If we misuse the energy of the 17th day, impose restrictions on ourselves, including sexual ones, it can lead to riotousness and involuntary release of energy, resulting in uncontrolled actions.
People born on the 17th lunar day need a source of paired energy in their “other half,” and, as a rule, all their life aspirations are conditioned by these needs.
Such people cannot live alone; they have an insurmountable need for a wife or lover — a source of paired energy. Such a person cannot harmonize themselves alone. Without this source, they become pitiful, weak, and rarely achieve anything in life. Often, people do not realize this, and as soon as they do, their life changes immediately. Paired contact is needed to attain inner freedom.
Unfortunately, in our marriages, the opposite often happens: mutual enslavement occurs, and a partner is considered property. This is the wrong approach. We must approach marriage from a different perspective and understand that the partner is as free as you are and, in essence, should become an androgynous half. People were once whole androgynes. Only after the war of the gods, following Phaethon’s split, did the division of people by gender occur: into male and female.
On the human level, the androgyne determines our energy and all actions in life, as well as gender division, where for a man the right side is lucky, and for a woman, the left side. The task of a man and a woman is to unite the two halves to restore their androgyne. Two free individuals form a higher level of freedom, completeness. In marriage, a person must liberate themselves, reveal what they carry within, give it to another person, and receive compensation for what they lack, while finding freedom.
