Oleksiy Agafonov – Predictive Astrology :: 1. Theory – Part 9

Oleksiy Ahafonov – Predictive Astrology :: 1. Theory – Part 9

«Polon» of the boarding school ended with the father «releasing» Winston and him enrolling in the Royal Military College. Thus ended the main childhood event, as Aristotle would say, a form-shaping model for Churchill’s subsequent life turns. Then the plot repeated with variations four more times. In 1900, captivity in Pretoria ended with an escape, glory, and the beginning of a political career. In 1915, due to the fiasco of the Dardanelles operation, Churchill resigned but later returned to leadership positions and implemented major army reforms. In 1929, he left big politics for 10 years, loudly protested Chamberlain’s appeasement policy in the 1930s, and the result of this period was again glory, the triumph of 1940, and victory during World War II. In 1945, an unexpected fall from the heights of triumph, forced political inactivity, and in 1951 – again the post of Prime Minister and honor (the Order of the Garter, a knighthood, the Nobel Prize). Thus, the archetypal plot was repeated several times: captivity, liberation, glory, and the triumph of the victor. Of course, these are variations of the solar myth. In Churchill’s personal mythology and his chart, the archetypes of Ares, Zeus/Jupiter, as well as Apollo and Dionysus** are easily visible.

Pr The Sun descends to the very lowest point of the chart in 1901, where we see the strongest accent of crisis, transformation, and rebirth. But for the first time, the theme of captivity sounds in the aspects of the Moon – emphasizing the emotional intensity of events and their role in shaping the unconscious. What is the main aspect model, the main theme? It consists of three «intonations»-aspects in OG directions at the age of 6-7 years:

  • Moon = 0° = N Node
  • Moon = 60° = MC, = 120° = IC
  • Mars = 0° = Jupiter

The Moon enters the N Node house (literally: «a child in prison», «captivity»; temporary loss of the mother; temporary loss of the mother; it immediately forms a sextile to the MC and a trine to the IC (a dream about home); and soon Mars conjuncts Jupiter (activity and protest, simultaneous activation of the Ares and Zeus archetypes O), an exact aspect at age 7). These aspects in 1/4-degree directions form at the age of 24-28 years, i.e., in 1898-1902. During these years, Churchill is captured, escapes, unexpectedly becomes a national hero, and rides the wave of popularity into parliament. The harmonious aspects of the Moon to the social axis are reproduced as popularity at home. The conjunction of Mars with Jupiter is like the beginning of a political career, a successful public debut. The aspects in 1/4-degree directions are not entirely accurate in timing but are indicative in symbolism. Churchill «replays» the traumatic childhood events and gets revenge. He is captured, then fulfills the childhood dream of freedom and triumph. He wins the love of his homeland – embodying childhood lonely dreams of maternal love.

In naronic directions in 1899 (arc 150°), the Sun is in sextile to Jupiter and in conjunction with Venus (lord of the VIII house). In OG directions, this corresponds to the age of 15, when, judging by the aspects, Churchill fell in love for the first time.

In duodenae (arc 62°30′), the MC makes a square to the Sun, and the Ascendant is in conjunction with it (immediately after the conjunction of Uranus with Mars, and the Sun with Saturn). In OG directions, this corresponds to 1938, when Churchill, almost alone in parliament, protested against Chamberlain’s policy.

In novenae (arc 83°), the Moon is in opposition to Pluto. In 1955 (at 80.5 years old), Churchill resigns.

Horizontal. The same aspects as in the OG direction in 1899 form in the naronic direction at 41.5 years, i.e., in 1916, when Churchill is out of politics after the Dardanelles fiasco the year before. This is a kind of «captivity». But a year later, Churchill becomes Minister of Munitions and successfully organizes tank production.

September 12, 1908: a marriage Churchill considered the most important event of his life. The arc of the one-degree direction is 31°48′ (directional Moon on the Ascendant).

Vertical. The arc of the «transformation measures» direction is just under 8°: the Moon in square to the Sun, Venus in trine to the Moon. Obviously, there was some event (or experience) that occurred at the age of 8, and at 32, its echo resonated like a marriage.

In naronic directions (arc 19°48′), the Ascendant is in conjunction with Jupiter. In OG directions, this corresponds to 1894, when Churchill graduates from the Royal Military College and begins independent life.

In duodenae (arc 79°30′), the DSC is in trine to Jupiter. Somewhat earlier, during the acquaintance, the Ascendant passes Venus. In OG directions, this corresponds to the period of Churchill’s recognition of merits: at 79, he receives the Order of the Garter and becomes a Nobel laureate.

Horizontal. The naronic direction reached an arc of 31°48′ at the age of 53, in 1928. In 1929, Churchill leaves big politics for 10 years, devotes himself to painting and literary work, and pays attention to family and the family estate.

September 5, 1939: Churchill is appointed First Lord of the Admiralty, which begins the «Battle of Britain». This is the most serious trial in Churchill’s life.

Vertical. In the 1/4-degree direction, the arc is 16°10′: Pluto in opposition to the Sun. The Sun is in sextile to Jupiter, the MC is in sextile to Pluto (in naronic directions, the same aspects are at the beginning of work in parliament in 1901). In OG directions, an arc of 16° corresponds to 1890-1891, when Churchill clashed with the leadership of the boarding school. Soon, his father took him out of there and sent him to the Royal Military College.

In naronic directions, the arc is 305°1′. The MC is in conjunction with Uranus, the Sun is in square to Mars, Neptune is in opposition to the Sun. In OG directions, these aspects are in October 1913, when Churchill prepared Britain for World War I. Interestingly, soon the situation in naronic directions will repeat the aspects of the OG direction of 1915, when Churchill suffered an unexpected fiasco in the Dardanelles (the main interaction is a square of the Ascendant to Uranus), but now everything will end differently. Obviously, Churchill learned his lesson! But it cost him dearly – he was disappointed by Britain’s readiness for war in 1939 (except for the fighting spirit).

Horizontal. The OG direction arc in the fall of 1939 is 65°. The naronic direction reaches it too late. In duodenae, this arc is in the decisive year of 1900: captivity, escape, success.

January 24, 1965: Churchill dies. In the «transformation measures» directions, the arc is just over 22.5°: the Sun in novile to Saturn, Mars in square to Saturn, Uranus in square to the Sun, Pluto in novile to the VIII cusp, the MC in square to Neptune. In OG directions, these aspects form in the spring of 1897, when Churchill participates in bloody battles. In naronic directions at the time of death, the «3/50 = 1 year» arc is 54°06′. The Moon is in conjunction with Jupiter (a characteristic aspect), Saturn is on the DSC. Mars is in a sesquiquadrate to the Moon. In one-degree directions, this corresponds to early 1929, in which Churchill leaves big politics for 10 years.

Here’s how directions act in the horoscope of Catherine II (Chart 43). Catherine married on August 21, 1745. The arc of the one-degree direction is 16°18′.

Vertical. In the «transformation measures» directions, the arc will be about 40°. Venus is in sextile to the Descendant. In naronic directions, the arc will be 90°48′. The Moon and Venus are in conjunction with Jupiter. Catherine was confident from childhood in her future historical role, which she would receive through marriage.

In duodenae, the arc will be 40°38′. The Sun is in conjunction with the Moon, Mars is in conjunction with the IC, Saturn is in trine to the MC, the DSC is in conjunction with Pluto and in trine to Neptune. «Out of the list» is Mars on the IC. In OG directions, this corresponds to the critical year of 1769, when Russia was at war with Poland and Turkey. Here, Mars finds its explanation.

Horizontal. In naronic directions, the same arc is in 1756: the first lover, Count Poniatowski, and a temporary «truce» with her husband on the principle of non-interference: he has his life, she has hers.

Let’s check the action of the «transformation measures» on November 6, 1796 (OS), when Catherine II died at the age of 67.5. The arc of the OG direction is 67°33′.

Vertical. The «transformation arc» will be 16°43′. This is slightly more than the arc of the one-degree direction at the time of marriage! Mars is in opposition to Uranus, Saturn is in square to the Moon and Venus, Uranus is in quincunx, and the N Node cusp is in square to the Sun. The aspect of Saturn is the most characteristic (disappointment, coming down to earth). Before that, in the «transformation measures» directions, such aspects (which formed several years earlier) could indicate crisis periods: Neptune together with the Moon, or the Moon in square to Pluto. Catherine II felt the weakening of her health as early as 1792. However, the characteristic aspects to Neptune in duodenae and one-degree directions appear only by 1796.

March 5, 1744 (a year and a half before the wedding), Princess Sophia fell seriously ill with pneumonia. This illness is reflected in the one-degree directions: the Moon is in square to Pluto, Uranus is in opposition to Neptune, Neptune is in conjunction with the Moon (discordant aspect, orb 1°4′; in solar arcs, the aspect is more precise). In the «transformation measures» directions, the same aspects appear a few years before death. And those aspects that appeared in the one-degree directions at the time of the wedding are repeated in the quarter-degree directions before death! The wedding was a trial and transformation. Death was the final trial, the last transformation.

How can the «echo» of aspects in directions of different measures be used in practice? For imaginary travels into the past and future, which modern psychotherapy considers extremely fruitful. Returning to the past, we re-experience crisis situations, as if «feeding» ourselves with resources, reliving life anew in a more optimistic tone and, as a result, increasing self-esteem and confidence today. We extrapolate our plans into the future, gradually making them a reality.

Suppose that in the n-th year, a series of tense aspects form in the 1/4-degree directions, and we see that «the atmosphere is thickening». We check the one-degree directions (for the same year n) – and we also see the possibility of a serious crisis, an extreme situation, etc. We turn to the directions of faster measures, in which these aspects have already occurred, and note the time when this happened. Perhaps we will return to the native’s childhood (if we consider the 1/4-degree directions for year n as one-degree directions for year n:4, or naronic directions for year n as one-degree directions for year 0.6n), or to his youth (if we consider one-degree directions for year n as septenaries, novenae, or duodenae for earlier years). We will likely find the original situation in which the seed of the current crisis consciously formed. This will already help the native. Next, a «replay» of an earlier crisis situation with new resources, with a life-affirming, optimistic outcome, resulting in the definition of the correct strategy in the present and tuning into the future. This system also helps to predict long-term periods, finding symbolic similarities but spaced out in time «after-sounds» of the vertical chord. It allows you to see the big picture of fate, hear its striking polyphony, and approach an understanding of its unique and paradoxical logic.

Test this system on your own horoscope – perhaps you will see your life in a new way.

XI. Predictive Technique in Action: The Confrontation of the USSR and Germany, Stalin and Hitler in World War II

Let’s compare the indications for the two countries using different forecasting methods on June 22, 1941 (Charts 44, 45, and 46).

In transits, Jupiter and Saturn in the USSR chart are in the IX house and soon cross the MC. In the German Empire chart, they are in the XII house; in the III Reich chart – in the I house. From the perspective of the German Empire, this is generally a «foggy» time fraught with major mistakes; from the perspective of the III Reich – a time of self-assertion. However, the strength of the social planets in the I house of the Reich is less than in the IX house of the USSR (in the Reich chart, they are moving downward, in the USSR chart – upward), especially since the transit Saturn in the III Reich chart, after crossing into the VIII house in July 1943, will indicate a lack of resources. And in November 1944, the transit Pluto will first form an opposition to the Sun of the III Reich and simultaneously to the MC of the German Empire. These strongest transits in the chart of a firm often foreshadow its absorption by stronger competitors. In the chart of a state, they mean a radical transformation of the regime.

In progressions in the USSR chart at the beginning of the war, the Ascendant is in square to Pluto, but Mars is in semi-sextile to Saturn and in sextile to the Sun. By the end of the war, the Ascendant is in trine to Jupiter. During the war, the MC passes in semi-sextile to Jupiter.

In the German Empire chart at the beginning of the war, Pr MC is in conjunction with Neptune, and by the end of it – in square to Uranus. Pr Mars at the beginning of the war is on the IC in sextile to Uranus – a demonstration of power and modern methods of warfare. However, by the end of the war, Pr Mars is in square to the Moon – the suffering of the people, a lack of resources (the Moon rules the II house).

In the III Reich chart at the beginning of the war, Pr Ascendant is in trine to Saturn, but already in 1942 it passes into square to Neptune. Pr Sun in the same year forms the Finger of Fate with natal Uranus and Mars, showing Hitler’s ingenuity in waging war, but this configuration is not stable, and besides, Mars rules the XII house.

In arcs in the USSR chart at the beginning of the war, Uranus is in square to the MC. However, later the MC has a favorable aspect to Jupiter.

In the German Empire chart at the beginning of the war, S Mars is on the DSC, but later much more ominous aspects appear – the opposition of S Pluto to the Sun in 1942 (with the Sun ruling the IV house of the nation’s foundation and internal opposition) and the square of S Saturn, ruler of the VII house, to the Ascendant.

In the III Reich chart at the beginning of the war, S Lilith is in square to Neptune (a fatal mistake), and later S South Node is in conjunction with Mars (an unfavorable direction for Mars). The Sun in 1944-45 passes in quincunx to Jupiter and Pluto, forming the Finger of Fate with them. This seems like a strong combination, but these planets rule the VII and VIII houses – mortal enemies. Pluto also rules the XII house, and Jupiter – the XI: shattered hopes for power and victory.

It is interesting to compare the indicators of the last pre-war eclipse on March 27, 1941, at 20:14:26 GT for all three charts. The eclipse charts are built for the capitals of the states. In synastry with the USSR chart (Chart 47), the following aspects are observed:

  • the eclipse point is in square to Pluto, ruler of the VIII house (deadly danger), but in sextile to Jupiter and trine to Neptune of the USSR;
  • the eclipse Jupiter is in opposition to the Sun and Mercury, rulers of the USSR chart;
  • the eclipse MC is in sextile to the Sun of the USSR.

In synastry with the German Empire chart (Chart 48):

  • the eclipse point is in opposition to Mars of the Empire; however, it is in Libra, debilitated: the empire is not ready for war;
  • the eclipse point is in square to Saturn, ruler of the VII house: the empire is doomed;
  • the eclipse Mars is in conjunction with Mercury, ruler of the Empire chart;
  • the eclipse Saturn is preparing to enter the XII house of the Empire chart.

In synastry with the III Reich chart (Chart 49):

  • the eclipse point is in conjunction with the Moon, ruler of the IV house of the Reich: the people are in for hard times;
  • the eclipse Mars is on the MC of the Reich – a clear indication of war; Mars is in exaltation and rules the VII house of open enemies in the Reich chart; enemies prevail;
  • the eclipse Mercury is in opposition to Neptune of the Reich; Mercury rules the VIII house of the Reich and the III house of the chart: an incorrect assessment of one’s resources, leading to defeat.

Let’s compare the natal charts of Stalin and Hitler using traditional methods (only the planets of the septenary are considered). Rectifications see Chapter XII.

Stalin

The ruler of the I house is Mars, strong: it is in the same house and in its own sign, supported by a trine from Saturn. However, the ruler of the X house, Mercury, is weak: it is retrograde and devoid of dignity. But the Moon – the highest planet in the chart – is in trine to Jupiter. Since the birth is nocturnal, the Moon is the main luminary of the chart. It is in a strong position (in detriment and in trine to Jupiter), except for the sign. From the point of view of tradition, the chart is contradictory: a powerful personality, organizational abilities (Mars in the I house), but internally weak power (weak ruler of the X house), although there is popularity and the possibility of becoming a «leader-tribune» (an old description of a strong and elevated Moon in a nocturnal chart).

Jupiter and Saturn, supporting the Moon and Mars (the two most important planets in the chart), are in reception. Fortune is in conjunction with Jupiter, the Spirit Point – with the MC. This is a very strong position of both lots, and moreover, in the tenth house from Fortune and in an angular house from the Spirit Point – a powerful Mars. True, the rulers of Fortune and the Spirit Point, Saturn and Mercury, are devoid of dignity, but the ruler of Fortune is in reception with Jupiter.

The ruler of the VII house of open enemies and the XII house of secret enemies, Venus, is burned, devoid of dignity, and afflicted by Saturn. Enemies are defeated.

Hitler

I use Hitler’s nocturnal chart (see rectification in Chapter XII). Mars, the chart ruler, is weak by sign and house, in conjunction with a strong Venus, representing open enemies, and in square to a weak by sign Saturn in the X house. Mars and Saturn are full of ambition, but Venus is stronger. The Sun, ruler of the X house, is peregrine and weak by fall. The Moon – the main luminary of the chart – is weak by sign, in the lower hemisphere in a nocturnal chart (below the horizon) and in conjunction with Jupiter, but also weak by sign and dignity. Fortune is in Aquarius in sextile to Mercury, but its ruler, Saturn, is debilitated by sign. The Spirit Point is in opposition to the Moon and Jupiter, but its ruler, the Moon, is weak by sign. In the angular houses, the lights and Fortune are weak: the Sun, Mars, and Saturn.

The ruler of the X house (the highest angle in the chart) – Mars – is in detriment. The ruler of the Spirit Point (the X house from Fortune) – also Mars. Venus, ruler of the VII house of open enemies and war, is stronger than Mars, the chart ruler. The Sun and Mars are under the management of Venus. Hitler himself and his position ultimately fall under the power of open enemies. Enemies win.

Now let’s consider the forecasts for Stalin and Hitler at the beginning and outcome of the war.

Stalin

Age: 62.5 years. Birth is nocturnal. Firdar (according to the system of R. Zoller): Mercury-Mercury. This is the beginning of a new great period. Mercury rules the VII and X houses of the chart. It is peregrine (completely devoid of dignity). This is a clear indication of a threat to position, reputation, and even death. Mercury is in square to the Moon, ruler of the IX house: the threat comes from abroad. Mercury is retrograde, which weakens it.

Later, the firdars become more favorable, releasing the chart’s potential. During the Mercury-Moon period (until 65 years and 8.5 months, i.e., until August 1944), the trine Moon-Jupiter operates, meaning support from the people and help from abroad, primarily material, since Jupiter rules the XI house. Then comes the Mercury-Saturn period (until 67.5 years, i.e., until May 1946), when the trine Saturn-Mars is activated, with Mars being very strong in the I house and in its sign of rulership. Of course, the squares of Saturn to the Sun and Venus are also active, but the rising trine to the chart ruler is a stronger indication.

In arcs in the radix, the Ascendant is in trine to Pluto, then in sextile to Mars (1942) and Saturn (1943). These are powerful favorable aspects describing the development of the situation. But there are also indications of the fallacy of plans and actions immediately before the start of the war. In Stalin’s chart, there is a powerful configuration: Mars = 180° = Pluto = 60° = Saturn. Let’s call it the configuration of constant conflict (since the Mars-Pluto opposition connects the I and VIII houses). On the other hand, the square of Jupiter to Neptune can be called the aspect of illusions. Interestingly, it gives the formula of trade XI – III (since both Jupiter and Neptune rule Sagittarius). Venus rules the VII and XII houses and, in contrast to its symbolism, denotes open and secret enemies.

In June 1941, in arcs, Uranus closes the T-square with Jupiter and Neptune. Illusions are shattered. S Saturn at the same time passes in quincunx to Venus, a cooling and separation aspect (in the chart of a political leader – also a change of allies), and it is replaced by a quincunx of Pluto to Venus, creating the formula of conflict I – VII: a protracted war. S Neptune, the «success blocker», is tense – in discordant aspects of the 8th harmonic to the Mars-Pluto opposition: erroneous actions before the war. Venus (enemy) enters the IV house. If we consider the axis of the VII-X cusps, we will see Stalin’s grand plan: the arc Mars, Pluto, and Saturn form with this axis a large configuration, resembling either an eagle taking off or the spread claws of a scorpion («claws» – S Mars and S Saturn, the VII-X cusps). This is a configuration of preparation for war with a calculation on surprise and power. But the T-square involving the arc vertical axis, S Uranus, and the natal square Jupiter-Neptune (S Uranus and S MC = 180° = Neptune = 90° = Jupiter), the aspects of S Neptune to the carrying opposition of the chart, symbolizing Stalin’s main problem (S Neptune = C145), and Pluto to Venus – all this indicates the biggest mistake.

With the participation of the planets of the SHA, powerful negative aspects also form in the arcs at the beginning of the war. The most striking aspect in the 45-degree circle is the conjunction of the Part of Fortune with the MC and its opposition to the Sun. Therefore, the situation in the arcs is contradictory but developing for the better. Although a year later, the opposition of S Neptune to Mercury forms, it enters changes. And the next opposition of S Venus (ruler of the VII house of open enemies) to Uranus, the highest planet in the chart, can generally be interpreted as a harbinger of victory.

In progressions at the beginning of the war in the radix, the MC is in opposition to Neptune (a mistake) and in square to Jupiter (gambling), the Ascendant is in conjunction with Mercury, ruler of the VII house (thoughts of death, extreme risk). I recall that the aspects of S MC in the radix mostly have a fateful influence, despite the relocation. The approaching progressed New Moon, soon to summarize a 30-year development. This is a time of completion; now it is not worth starting anything new. In the last phase of the progressed Moon, which is also moving toward the lower point of the chart, adaptability is reduced. In general, Stalin is not internally very ready for war.

Simultaneously, Pr Sun leaves Aquarius, moving into Pisces, under the rulership of Neptune, afflicted by Jupiter. At the same time, Pr Sun in the 45-degree circle forms an opposition to Neptune, activating midpoints on its axis! Neptune in the natal chart in the 45-degree circle is in the midpoints Uranus/Pluto and Mars/Uranus (according to Ebertin, «cunning and deceit, low and dishonest methods of action, a desire to harm other people, a person with bad intentions»). This is a time of great adventure. On the other hand, the transition of the Sun into Pisces may mean a revolution in consciousness, perhaps even a turn to religion (in a certain sense). Stalin received support from the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church, which was important.

In the relocation chart to Moscow, S MC moves into Scorpio, under the rulership of Mars in the I house and Pluto in the VII house, which are in a close opposition and mean the main conflict of the chart. The transition of the MC into Scorpio symbolizes a trial, but in this sign, the MC becomes much stronger, more persistent. The closest major aspect of S MC in the relocation chart is a sextile to Uranus in 1945.

Before the war, Stalin conducted a large, complex, and risky political game, the details of which are still unknown to us. But he managed to achieve his strategic goal – the hegemony of the USSR in Europe. In the player’s formula, the XI, VII, VIII, and X houses are involved. How are they involved in progressions (in the relocation chart)?

  • Sun in sextile to Venus; both planets are in the II house, Venus rules the VII, and the Sun – the X house; a formula of political alliance (the formula of «marriage» VII + X) is created, which brings profit (XI house) across borders as a result of secret agreements (the Sun is the secondary ruler of the IX house, Venus also rules the XII house); as modern research shows, pre-war economic cooperation with Germany was beneficial to the USSR; the aspect is discordant, the alliance ends;
  • the same theme is touched by the sextile of Pr Mercury and the semi-sextile of Venus to Lilith, which connects the VIII house;
  • Pr Venus in novile to Jupiter, symbolically – great claims; apparently, the aspect describes the territorial expansion of the USSR on the eve of the war; however, this is a tense aspect that threatens deception, since Venus rules the XII house; the territories occupied by the USSR of Western Ukraine and the Baltics became centers of resistance to the Stalinist regime;
  • Jupiter in novile to Mercury; the aspect connects in a tense variant the II and III houses, creating a formula of acquisition (for a country leader – as a result of the seizure of material values of neighbors) and simultaneously – unexpected major losses, failure of the VIII, X, XI – XII houses;
  • the square of Pr Neptune to Jupiter creates the formula of gambling II – V in a tense variant;
  • the novile of Pr XI to the Sun creates the formula of unexpected failure X – XI;
  • the novile of Pr XII to Mercury creates part of the formula of suicide XII – III, VII, XI.

In transits at the beginning of the war, Neptune forms a T-square with the Sun and Saturn, and the South Node conjuncts Saturn, ruler of the III house. On the one hand, this is a combination of depression, on the other – an incorrect assessment of the situation, distortion of the mind. However, the transiting Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto are moving upward, and the social planets have already crossed the personal axis and are moving through the upper hemisphere of the chart. Thus, progressions do not speak unequivocally in favor of Stalin’s victory (what else is the conjunction of Pr Mars with Mercury worth!), but the cumulative effect of firdars, arcs, and transits is positive. Especially striking are the arc aspects of the Ascendant to Mars, Pluto, and Saturn throughout the war.

It seems unexpected to reflect the outcome of the war in Stalin’s chart. In the radix in arcs, the Sun is in opposition to Uranus and in conjunction with the IC, and S Saturn is in square to the MC. The results of the war clearly brought surprises – the masses of ordinary soldiers felt like victors, got acquainted with European life, the mentality of the people changed, people expected a weakening of the regime. However, the aspect of Saturn speaks of the opposite trend. The exit of the Sun to the IC, of course, strongly accentuates the solar principle. Such an aspect in Churchill at his first successful parliamentary elections, in Cromwell – at the conquest of unlimited power. However, the opposition of the luminary to Uranus indicates that Stalin feels insecure. On the other hand, this same aspect indicates a new grand task – the need to create an atomic bomb.

In the relocation chart to Moscow, the arc aspects are more dramatic: the Sun is in square to the VIII cusp, Mercury, ruler of the III house, is in conjunction with the IC (III – X, the formula of overthrow). Obviously, Stalin feared losing power. However, the MC is in sextile to Uranus. The Sun, Uranus, and MC form a configuration, and the MC allows the opposition of the luminary to the planet of revolution – Uranus. The creation of the atomic bomb, rocket weapons, and jet aircraft continues successfully.

Also noted in the arcs in the radix is a sharp «cooling» of international relations in March 1946 (after, but not as a result of Churchill’s Fulton speech about the «Iron Curtain»): the Sun is in opposition to Uranus (orb 6′), Mars in quincunx to Uranus (8′), in square to Mars and Pluto and in quincunx to Saturn.

Hitler

Age: 52 years and 2 months. Birth is nocturnal. Firdar (according to the system of R. Zoller): Sun-Jupiter. This successful combination brought Hitler victories in Europe and successes at the beginning of the war with the USSR. However, internally, this firdar is weak: the Sun is peregrine, Jupiter is debilitated. The great firdar of the Sun lasts until the end of the war. The next sub-firdar is Mars. Both planets are in the house of open confrontation. The Sun rules the X house, Mars – the I and VIII houses. Symbolically and by position in the chart, this is a period of activation of ambitions and war, as well as failures, illness, and danger to life, since Mars is in conjunction with Venus, ruler of the XII house, and rules Mercury, ruler of the VII house, and is also in square to a weak by sign Saturn in the X house. The sub-firdar of Mars lasts until 54 years – until April 20, 1943. It is clearly unsuccessful for war, health, and career. Then the great firdar of Venus begins, and Hitler’s enemies win.

In arcs at the beginning of the war, the Moon and Jupiter are in square to the VIII cusp, Mars is in opposition to the Moon, Saturn enters the XII house. These are powerful unfavorable aspects, and the main luminary of the chart is afflicted. In 1944, the Moon is again afflicted, this time by Saturn. From the point of view of tradition, the defeat of the Moon in a nocturnal chart is critical.

In progressions, the MC moves into Libra, under the rulership of Venus, the planet of war and ruler of the VII house of open enemies. Pr Venus from the VII house afflicts the MC by square. Later, Pr Saturn forms a square to Mars and Pr Venus to the end of the war, and Pr Saturn forms an exact aspect to Mars. The Ascendant passes the suicidal opposition to Pluto in the VIII house in the summer of 1944.

In transits at the beginning of the war, most of the slow planets are moving through the upper hemisphere of the chart toward the MC. However, Saturn has already passed the conjunction with the Sun; the peak of the career is over. Saturn and Uranus enter the VIII house. Saturn foreshadows a lack of resources, the aspect of Uranus is extremely risky. At the same time, Neptune forms a semi-square to the MC. Later, Pluto enters into conjunction with the MC, describing the fatal end of Hitler’s rule.

The conclusion is unambiguous: Hitler starts and loses.

XII. Using Gnostic Methods in Rectification

This chapter is a good illustration of the work of prognostic methods throughout the native’s life.

Rectification of Stalin’s Horoscope

In the civil registry record of the Uspensky Cathedral in Gori (41N58; 44E07), the date is December 6, 1878 (Old Style). In the New Style, this is December 18. The conclusions of V.V.G. about Stalin’s nocturnal birth and the Ascendant in Scorpio seem convincing*. However, the time of birth, determined by V.V.G. – 1:10 GT – in my opinion, needs clarification. P. Globa and B. Romanov also place Stalin’s Ascendant in Scorpio (12°48′),
