You’ve been endlessly browsing dating sites, seeing therapists, attending every possible social event, yet the result is zero—men are just not appearing in your life! Perhaps the culprit is… the state of your apartment! At least, that’s what feng shui experts believe.
To bring harmony to your personal life, you need to balance the energetic relationship between the masculine principle (yang) and the feminine (yin). It might seem that to attract men into your home, you should make it more “masculine.” But it’s not that simple!
Men may avoid a woman who has filled her apartment with “masculine” attributes. These include furniture with strict, classic forms, bright lighting fixtures, various electronic devices, tools, jeans and sneakers lying around in plain sight… Remember, most men are still drawn to typical representatives of the fairer sex, not “Amazons in skirts”!
If your interior resembles a Barbie dollhouse (soft toys everywhere, curls, flirty window valances, bows and flowers), your chances with men are also slim. Men will feel uncomfortable in such surroundings because they’ll subconsciously fear disrupting the harmony. A man won’t stay long in such a home.
So what should you do? Start by critically examining your living space and identifying what’s missing.
Does your home look overly “masculine”? Then it’s time to make it more feminine!
Buy a sofa and armchairs with soft upholstery and curved legs. Ottomans, wide beds with delicate, ornate headboards are also suitable. Moreover, “feminine” furniture should be low. Place a soft, warm blanket on the bed and a fluffy rug or animal skin on the floor.
Women suit soft, diffused lighting. Install less powerful light bulbs in your fixtures. Turn on the chandelier only when expecting guests. For the rest of the time, use wall lamps, floor lamps, and table lamps. At the same time, curtains must be fully drawn open!
Buy a mini-fountain or at least an air humidifier. Place aquariums or water containers wherever possible. Remove loud, aggressive landscape paintings from the walls—they carry too much aggressive energy. Instead, apply wallpaper with natural scenery. And don’t forget potted flowers! They radiate pure yin energy!
Is your home lacking “masculine” energy? Replace kitchen stools with chairs that have high backs. Movable furniture—such as a serving trolley on wheels—is also a “masculine” attribute. Choose curtains and bedspreads with checkered or striped patterns.
Install brighter light bulbs, hang a new chandelier—just avoid any ornate, lacy elements! Or buy a new table lamp with a strict, simple design.
Hang up bright pictures and posters on the walls. Buy a loud-ticking clock and prominently display a model airplane.
Fans and air conditioners are also sources of “masculine” energy. Hang your photos on the walls where you’re pictured with friends and family. But avoid those where you’re alone: pictures of single women repel yang!
You’ve probably already guessed that “masculine” and “feminine” elements in your apartment should be neighbors. How exactly?
That’s something you can figure out yourself. If you have several rooms, you can furnish one in a masculine style and another in a feminine one.
If you have only one room, it’s helpful to alternate yin and yang elements within it. Of course, interior changes should be made according to your financial means. If your income is low, make changes even in small details. Who knows—maybe your personal life will finally fall into place!
