Ketu in the 7th House

Through the bodies of enemies it is difficult to reach oneself. This aspect gives a partially hostile attitude toward tradition; at least, the person tends to engage in internal polemics with it on many points. Moreover, their external enemies, in their view, strive to exploit them, dragging out outdated dogmas and attempting to revive them—something the person resists, at least internally, but often outwardly as well. Furthermore, any individual who supports tradition more than they deem necessary, or in areas where they do not consider it appropriate, tends to be classified as an open enemy, although (karmically) one should not be so straightforward. On the contrary, with partners they are willing to discuss traditions they appreciate and will try to continue them, especially within the family circle, whose traditions are dear and essential to life stability. On the other hand, developments in social life personally affect them; they have an acute reaction to shifts and upheavals in the public current, and their personality tends to change along with them. For instance, they always maintain excellent contact with youth, as their perception and modes of self-expression remain consistently modern, and youth slang will never catch them off guard (if the 1st house is afflicted, they might deliberately speak against contemporary style, but someone familiar with them will certainly notice). In inner development, this person is interested in expanding their capacity for perceiving the world and self-expression, and here they are capable of much—especially with a strong 1st house, although self-expression may easily turn into vanity. To prevent this, attention should be paid to criticism from enemies and partners, relationships with whom are governed by very stable subconscious programs. These programs should be periodically inspected, but rather gently refined—patching cracks and performing minor repairs—rather than completely rebuilt from scratch, which, on the contrary, might sometimes be entirely appropriate.

The marriage of such individuals may be unusual or unstable. They often travel in connection with their affairs. They love solitude and may live in isolation. They possess talents and are well-known in their field of work; they are attractive. There may be complaints regarding the abdomen or intestinal disorders. They may be troubled by thieves and may themselves exhibit suspicious qualities.

Problems in family life, constant arguments with the partner. Indian astrologers state that such a person is drawn to “women of bad or loose conduct.” The partner (wife) may also suffer from an incurable illness or have an incompatible temperament. The individual themselves usually possesses a more spiritual than material nature, inclined toward asceticism. If the 7th house is Gemini or Virgo, the problems remain, but the partner may be a highly intellectual and spiritual person.
