Mars Square Neptune

Mars Square Neptune Transit

(Transit Mars → Natal Neptune)

Various sources for the child’s horoscope

Your child is emotional, has a vivid imagination, and strong creative abilities. They have a delicate nature and can be difficult to understand. Sometimes they feel confused, perplexed, or may act foolishly. They may identify with those who suffer. However, their ability to realistically assess others is weak, and they may be deceived or experience disappointment in their ideals. Parents should teach the child to help themselves and control emotions like despair. It is important to manage their emotions. The child may react poorly to medications (especially drugs), be prone to poisoning, and infectious diseases.

Het Monster. Aspects

Strange emotional desires rising from the depths of the subconscious do not fit into the framework of existing order. If suppressed, neuroses and hallucinations may occur. If not, alcoholism and drug addiction. In very negative aspects, betrayal, deception, and dishonor. Sexual anomalies sometimes find expression in fine arts. A tendency toward self-deception, as the motives behind actions are not consciously understood. In relationships with people, confusion and embarrassment arise.

Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary

Opposition, square: As with a conjunction, the person feels the need to defend some ideal but misunderstands its meaning and acts inconsistently. Due to a lack of realism and clarity of mind, they become disoriented and lose their bearings. Often, they set unattainable goals and fight windmills.

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects

Mars square: The razor that sharpens the writer’s pen should not be used to chop cabbage. The Mars square gives planetary expressions roughness, disharmonious force that destroys its principle in all subtle manifestations. This destruction occurs both internally and externally. If the person does not resist it, it can be quite strong. Karma-wise, the Mars square signifies a prohibition on direct, unmediated energetic expression of the planetary principle (which never manifests harmoniously or constructively) and demands processing its higher octave. The person is internally very drawn to the spheres governed by the planet, pulled there by some force, and their perception of their abilities (and often achievements) in these areas may be inflated, though failures and disappointments will soon follow. At a low level, this person may sometimes be dangerous to others in the planet’s spheres, but they always pose the greatest danger to themselves. With the Mars square, the law of karma, which repays the introduction of disharmony into the world, acts energetically and often quite swiftly (though sometimes the backlash strikes only the inner world of the person, whose soul undergoes destruction that may go unnoticed by others, except for the fact that the person’s overall level drops sharply). Internally, this aspect offers significant growth potential—the realization of one’s crude subconscious programs, including nearly animalistic instincts (represented here very prominently and distinctly, especially when the planet is activated), and their transformation into a more civilized and acceptable form—that is, shifting to higher vibrational energies. Working through this aspect allows the person to engage with the planet on lower energies while revealing nuances of its principle that would otherwise remain inaccessible. The person will know the destructive power of the planet in its lower octave, giving them insight into its manifestations in others and the ability to help them process its principle—especially in taming their lower nature in the relevant spheres. However, they will never fully master the free flow of its vibrations at a low level. For example, a Mars–Venus square may produce a refined libertine or an excellent sexologist, but never a sexual giant. Neptune square: A great deal of inner honesty is required to recognize its absence. This is the most challenging aspect. The Neptune square brings distorted meditations, often of a lower order, an inexplicable attraction to the person’s planetary principle alongside a very poor (or rather, false) understanding of it—illusions and mistakes that the person finds hard to believe and even harder to let go of. Neptune deceives the person, the person deceives the world and themselves, then sees part of this deception and stops believing—just in case—in everything, including themselves, but not for long (or rather, partially), after which they deceive themselves and the world again. This can lead to an abyss of despair, vices, or, conversely, awaken a higher calling and draw the person toward God. The outcome is hard to predict, but in any case, the person should always remain vigilant and never consider any achieved boundary as permanently conquered. If the lower nature takes over, it may feed on very impure meditations (alcohol, drugs, family scandals, etc.), and re-educating it will not be easy. A Neptune–Saturn square may produce a perverse enjoyment of one’s own inability to act, and the person may live in a cycle: brief concentrated effort ending in failure—prolonged meditation on their own worthlessness, with a masochistic tint, likely dragging others into this cycle. (In general, squares involving higher planets are aspects of dark teachers, especially when combined with mystical or psychological inclinations.) Karma-wise, this aspect signifies the need to process the themes of self-deception and lower meditations (“vices”) through the material of the planetary principle. The activation of this planet makes the corresponding subconscious programs very pronounced. Working through this aspect is difficult; it requires abandoning all lower meditations (including sweet self-accusations) and consistently engaging in honest, constructive work in the areas related to the planet. Pluto’s involvement and, to some extent, Saturn’s processing can help. At a high level, the person grasps the subtlest manifestations of the planetary principle and its connection to the principle of cosmic love as it appears in external reality and the souls of specific people. This can make them a mystic, preacher, or saint, but they will not be freed from the irrational feeling of guilt toward the world in the planet’s spheres.

Frances Sakoian. Aspects

Strange emotional desires rising from the depths of the subconscious do not align with existing order. The aspect can manifest in different ways depending on whether instincts are suppressed or not. If suppressed, neuroses (sexual or psychosomatic), sometimes hallucinations, may occur. If not suppressed, alcoholism, drug addiction, debauchery. Sometimes foolish actions, confusion, or adherence to hidden motives. With negative aspects in the entire horoscope, betrayal, deception, and dishonor. Sexual anomalies may sometimes be positively expressed in fine arts where imagination is required. A tendency toward self-deception, as the motivating causes behind actions are often not consciously understood. In relationships with people, confusion, embarrassment, and dismay arise. It is necessary to learn to control the imagination and desires that lead to difficulties. In astrological studies, Neptune’s abilities may manifest, as well as in psychology, where mental strength is needed to understand the unconscious psychological problems of others. Emotional control is crucial.

S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets

Obsession, fanaticism, psychological blindness. The person acts based on idealistic or subjective positions, detached from reality; inability or unwillingness to consider circumstances. Manic states, neuroses; obsessive states; a tendency toward deception or self-deception; risk of being robbed or a tendency to appropriate others’ belongings, sometimes kleptomania. Such people are prone to the evil eye. The positive side includes high spiritual aspirations, self-sacrifice; religiosity, often Orthodox Christianity. An aspect of self-sacrifice.
