Square Mars – Pluto

Mars-Pluto Square

(Transit. Mars → Natal Pluto)

Different sources for a child’s horoscope

Your child possesses intense energy and extreme activity, possibly even a sense of omnipotence. He can achieve more than usual and endure more, provided he overcomes the conflict between instincts and desires, actions and will. He should learn to control his strong desires and tendency to dominate others. He must learn to creatively transform his anger or irritation into positive emotions through sports or other activities. Such a child will feel a stronger attraction to sexual experiments, which may have traumatic consequences.

Het Monster. Aspects

A wild, violent nature, if there are no mitigating aspects, with a desire to achieve goals at any cost. In a poorly configured horoscope – loss of self-control, violence. With afflicted Saturn and Mars – cruelty and criminal tendencies. In the absence of mitigating aspects – violent death. With spiritual aspirations – inner conflict between will and instincts. With strict self-discipline and diplomacy – great achievements.

Catherine Haugh. Astrological Dictionary

Opposition, square: aspects of destructive aggression, which may turn against the individual himself. Deceit, power gained through secret maneuvers, suicidal tendencies linked to acute awareness of absurdity and futility; this may also manifest as denial of “Martian” qualities – courage, energy, heroism.

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects

Mars square: A razor used to sharpen a writer’s pen should not be used to chop cabbage. The square of Mars imparts coarseness and disharmonious force to planetary expressions, destroying its principle in all subtle manifestations. This destruction occurs both in the inner and outer world, and if the person makes no effort to counteract it, it proceeds quite intensely. Karmically, the Mars square signifies a prohibition on direct, immediate energetic expression of the planetary principle (which never turns out harmonious or constructive) and demands the development of its higher octave. Internally, the person remains deeply interested in the areas ruled by the planet; some force draws him there, and his opinion of his abilities (and often achievements) in these areas may be very high, although failures and disappointments will not be long in coming. At a low level, such a person may be dangerous to others in the planet’s domains, but the greatest danger always falls upon himself. In the case of a Mars square, the karmic law of retribution for introducing disharmony into the world operates energetically and often quite swiftly (though sometimes the backlash affects only the inner world, where internal destruction occurs, possibly unnoticed by others, except that the person’s overall level drops sharply). In inner life, this aspect allows significant growth, awareness of one’s crude subconscious programs, including nearly animal instincts, which in this case are presented very vividly and distinctly, especially when the planet is activated, and their transformation into a more civilized and acceptable form, that is, a shift toward higher vibrational energies. Mastery of this aspect enables working with the planet on low energies while revealing such subtleties of its principle otherwise inaccessible. The person will know everything about the planet’s destructive force in its lower octave, giving him insight into its manifestations in others and the ability to help them work through its principle, especially in controlling their lower nature in corresponding areas; however, he will still never fully master the free flow of its vibrations at a low level. Thus, a Mars-Venus square may produce a refined sensualist or an excellent sexologist, but this person will never become a sexual giant. Pluto square: Angelic wings grow from the places rubbed raw by the cross of fate. The influence of the Pluto square manifests as a certain discomfort for the person regarding the sacrifices in the planet’s domain that destiny will demand from him; at least this is how it will seem to the person himself. He should reconcile himself to the idea that these sacrifices will be required at an inopportune moment and will cause unpleasant consequences seemingly unnecessary and pointless; but such is, unfortunately, the nature of this karmic program. The Pluto square is an aspect of Job, which fortunately does not always go equally far. The person will be sharply dissatisfied with the external world’s manifestations of the planetary principle, and will develop a desire to bring order into this area of the world, for which he will require corresponding authority. However, the karmic intention is precisely the opposite: to bring clarity and order into the domain of the planetary principle within the person’s inner world and subconscious, for which the person must gain mastery over his instincts and lower impulses belonging to the planet. Until the person realizes this, he will repeatedly face severe sacrifices and a fate that will pursue him to the extent that he himself provokes it—whether subconsciously or consciously, intentionally or accidentally, from good or bad motives. A crucial point is that in the planet’s area, the person possesses something like a magnifying glass, vividly revealing his own (and others’) minimal imperfections and errors. This aspect offers great potential for inner development and self-purification, while simultaneously producing in the world dictatorial-type black teachers who exterminate the lower and middle expressions of the planetary principle in the external world by power, fire, and sword, leaving room only for the most refined (which they do not see), or sometimes just scorched earth. At a moderate level, typical behavior includes harshness combined with elements of crude command and nihilism toward others, alongside a desire to master the planetary principle personally. Internally, the person strongly desires to reveal his ideal to the world, but this consistently fails, or (in the person’s view) the world simply hasn’t evolved enough to recognize the perfection revealed to it.

Francesca Sakoyan. Aspects

A wild, violent nature. If there are no mitigating aspects – a desire to achieve goals at any cost, using force, ruining carefully planned strategies, losing love; undermines diplomacy. Sometimes this is a sign of extraordinary courage, but most often it means the motto: “Do or die.” These people need to thoroughly study the driving forces behind their self-sacrifice. Often, the desire for sensational actions is explained by egoism, and this need leads to senseless and excessive extremes. In a poorly configured horoscope – loss of self-control, violence. With afflicted Saturn and Mars, this aspect may cause cruelty and criminal tendencies (in general, this leads to aggression in sex). Strong will, but unfocused. In the absence of mitigating aspects – violent death. They are often drawn to war, revolution, uprisings, and may exhibit dictatorial tendencies, as they believe that whoever is stronger is right. With spiritual aspirations – conflict between will and instincts. With discipline and diplomacy – great achievements.

S.V. Shestopalov. Planetary Aspects

Desire to rule and command; self-assertion, dictatorial behavior, tendency to impose solutions and resolve problems by force; militancy, aggressiveness, conflict-proneness; danger of violence or inclination toward violence, disregard of danger. Tendency toward radical changes. Positive side – immense willpower, energy, ability to fight and triumph.
