Uranus square: A mediocre talent craves a moment of inspiration, a great one craves a moment of rest from it. Squares of higher planets produce effects that last a year, fighting which is futile—or rather, harmful, since behaving incorrectly in the areas governed by the planet in square to a higher one can seriously harm oneself (and others). However, a person chooses how to relate to what is happening and how to perceive it—the so-called viewpoint: both the point one looks at and the point from which one looks, i.e., the position from which one observes. This choice largely determines how one processes the squares of higher planets and, consequently, one’s fate within the framework of world karma. For example, the Venus–Uranus square not only creates an irresistible inclination toward eccentric and uncontrollable social behavior in the most suitable circumstances but also an inability to love a partner who never changes over time—one grows unbearably bored. However, in response to this, one can either change partners every month or change one’s perspective on a given individual daily, discovering something fundamentally new in them, though the second option is much harder. Generally, the Uranus square grants a genius on the edge of normality (sometimes beyond it), but constructively implementing Uranian ideas and revelations can be very difficult. A person must strive to understand the meaning of their eccentricity, learn to read Uranian signs in planetary expressions, and then they may begin to partially see through the complex pattern of karma woven around them—and perhaps reveal to the world something previously unseen, incomprehensible, and impossible, yet real. The manifestations of the Uranus square cannot be understood—they can only be adapted to and learned to use somehow. Yet, despite all luck and effectiveness in their application, a person will always feel as if they are firing cannons at sparrows, while the worthy Uranian goal remains invisible. The Uranus square offers excellent opportunities to throw a wrench in the works for others, and if a person sets out to obstruct evil and involutionary programs, they can become very inventive in this. Unfortunately, most often, this square is used instead to disrupt the evolutionary flow, creating eddies within it—karmic knots—where, of course, the creativity of the Absolute manifests, but the person through whom this creativity is realized becomes a black teacher. However, it matters greatly for an individual’s fate at what level and how this black teaching occurs—whether as a critic, informant, or executioner—so one should be attentive to the manifestations of the Uranus square, as minor accents (including one’s inner attitude toward what is happening) can have far-reaching consequences. Neptune square: One needs an extraordinary amount of inner honesty to recognize its absence. This is the most difficult aspect. The Neptune square produces distorted meditations, often of a lower order, an inexplicable attraction to the planetary principle for the person and, at the same time, a very poor understanding of it—or rather, a false understanding, illusions, and mistakes that are hard to believe and even harder to let go of. Neptune deceives the person, the person deceives the whole world and themselves, then sees part of this deception and stops believing—just in case—in everything, including themselves, but not for long (or rather, partially), after which they deceive themselves and the world again, and the world deceives them in turn. This can lead to an abyss, despair, vices, or, conversely, awaken a higher calling and summon a person to God. The outcome is hard to predict, but in any case, a person should always remain vigilant and never consider any achieved position final. In the lower manifestation, the principle may feed on very dirty meditations (at the level of alcohol, drugs, family scandals, etc.), and re-educating it will not be easy. The Neptune–Saturn square can give a perverse pleasure in one’s inability to do anything, and a person may live for a long time in a cycle: brief concentrated effort ending in nothingness—prolonged meditation on their own worthlessness, with a masochistic tint, and this cycle will likely involve others. (Generally, squares of higher planets are aspects of black teachers, especially with a mystical or psychological slant.) Karmically, this aspect signifies the need to work through the theme of self-deception and lower meditations (“vices”) through the material of the planetary principle; the inclusion of which makes the corresponding subconscious programs highly pronounced. Processing here is complex, requiring the abandonment of all lower meditations (including sweet self-accusations) and consistent, honest, constructive work in the areas related to the planet; involving Pluto and, to some extent, working through Saturn can help. At a high level, a person comprehends the subtlest manifestations of the planetary principle and its connection with the principle of cosmic love as it manifests in external reality and the souls of specific people, which can make them a mystic, preacher, or saint—but they will not be freed from the irrational feeling of guilt before the world in the spheres of the planet.
