Venus Opposition: The world’s insufficient love for you is not proof of complete selfishness. The Venus opposition creates problems of interaction with society in the spheres ruled by the Planet—ethical and aesthetic, not to mention emotional, and especially concerning love. If the emphasis is on Venus, the person becomes saturated with social attitudes, standard ethics, and encounters external manifestations of the Planetary principle armed with all the clichés of social consciousness and subconsciousness. In general, they view any manifestation of the Planet from an aesthetic point of view, or even more prejudicially, from the positions of “like – dislike,” “love – don’t love,” with a characteristic whimsical mixture of purely personal sympathies and antipathies with the standard attitudes imposed by society, which the person initially does not distinguish. If, however, the emphasis is on the Planet and the person interiorizes its principle, then Venus manifests as an external opponent, in the form of social influences (often hostile), negative ethical and aesthetic evaluations from the external world, with which the person may stubbornly fight, not understanding that the causes of antagonism lie within their own inner self. For example, with a Venus opposition to Saturn, the person feels a deep desire to dedicate themselves to serious art. If they emphasize the principle of Venus, that is, perceive themselves as a free artist with no obligations other than living in the world of the Beautiful, then they reject the principle of Saturn’s discipline, effectively exteriorizing it, and the lack of truly diligent and purposeful studies (inner laxity leads to Saturn’s weakness). The world: various external obstacles arise and a general feeling that the external world is cold and disapproving of the person. Conversely, the interiorization of Saturn, i.e., fixation on its principle, when the person internally focuses and withdraws into themselves, immerses in solitary serious work, or simply rigidly ignores the whole world, leads to the activation of Venus in external life: out of nowhere, guests appear with champagne, invitations, invitations. (in cases where there are harmonious aspects to Venus) or sharp social conflicts arise, often with accusations of the person’s selfish behavior (if Venus is afflicted). In general, a major aspect of Venus poses the problem of love, and in the areas ruled by the Planet in opposition to Venus, the question of what they want becomes very acute at some point: to love or to be loved themselves. Working through this gives a stable fusion of the Planetary principle with the Venusian: all manifestations of the Planet become perfect in form and filled with love for people; in the spheres ruled by the Planet, the person will have a wonderful understanding of people and the ability to influence large social programs. Chiron Opposition: Going too deep into yourself, you risk coming out on the opposite side. The Chiron opposition sets two main tasks for the Planet: the qualitative expansion of its principle and its materialization in moments that were previously considered subtle, very subtle, and completely elusive. At a low level, however, Chiron gives not expansion and not materialization, but chaos and a dead end in development. If at the moment the emphasis in the opposition is on the Planet, and the person identifies with its principle, then Chiron reveals its presence in the external world, creating incredible bustle, disorder, unimaginable (often very original) obstacles and dead ends in the spheres connected with the Planet, the sense and cause of which the person cannot grasp. This forces them to reconsider their views on the principle of the Planet and master it in a much broader variant, effectively moving to the next level of working through the Planet. If they do not do this, then external circumstances develop in such a way that the person loses identification with the principle of the Planet, the latter is exteriorized and manifests in the external world, beyond the former boundaries of reach (thus a pilot becomes an airport worker), and the main emphasis in the opposition shifts to Chiron, which, having established itself internally, gives a feeling of chaos, confusion, and often a feeling of an internal dead end, accompanied by despair. Working through here occurs by the Planetary principle accepting and mastering the paradoxes of Chiron, while it jokes in the external world, which gives the Planet (and the person in the spheres of its influence) extraordinary, borderline reality, possibilities and talents that will amaze everyone (including the person themselves) with the force of their persuasiveness. A worked-through Chiron is very material, and working through its opposition gives an interesting variant of talent for stable, non-trivial vision and creativity in the spheres connected with the Planet. For example, working through the Chiron opposition to Pluto (which will cost the person themselves a great deal) gives extraordinary critical abilities; it is very difficult to walk away from this person’s witty, though sharp, remarks or to repress them into the subconscious, they are so precise, fair, and convincing. For true working through of the opposition to Chiron, deep inner work and mastering the conscious management of subconscious programs related to the spheres of the Planet’s influence are necessary.
