In recent years, the astronomical phenomenon known as the Supermoon, when the Moon appears 14% larger and 30% brighter, has become familiar to Earth’s inhabitants. At least once a year, we witness the closest approach between Earth and its natural satellite, which sustains and significantly influences life on our planet. And perhaps not in vain…
But for a Supermoon to coincide with a Total Lunar Eclipse – such an event is rare. The last occurrence was 33 years ago, and the next one is expected in 18 years.
In 1982, during a similar phenomenon, Ukraine was part of the USSR, and since our nation has not fully detached from that egregore even today, let us take a look into the recent past… Much of it resonates with what is happening now.
At that time, the well-known Y.V. Andropov came to power – Chairman of the USSR Committee for State Security (KGB) (1967–1982).
“During his 15 years of leadership, the USSR state security agencies significantly strengthened and expanded their control over all spheres of state and societal life. One of the KGB’s operational directions was the suppression of the dissident and nationalist movements (including through forced psychiatric hospitalization). Andropov received special instructions not to respond to appeals for dissidents’ release. It was under his leadership that district KGB departments were established, with staff assigned to supervise nearly every enterprise and organization. It is believed that together with Defense Minister Dmitry Ustinov, Andropov bears major responsibility for initiating the Afghan War” (Wikipedia)
During his 15-month rule, a new order was introduced in the USSR regarding labor discipline – law enforcement agencies were permitted to apply strict measures against offenders, while high-profile corruption cases were actively investigated, and a campaign was launched against non-labor income and speculation… and, naturally, a party purge began.
Much of this resonates with current events, although “labor discipline” is no longer relevant, as the right to employment in Ukraine has long become symbolic, and state authorities show no interest in population employment.
Current general trends are more radical in nature – the eclipses of 2014–15 occurred on the Aries–Libra axis, and we have become not only witnesses but also participants in:
– actions where the central theme is asserting leadership ONLY through conquest;
– initiatives where the central theme is establishing one’s position ONLY through open confrontation;
– relationships where the central theme is “no third option” – either partnership or conflict, peace or war.
On the event level, under the influence of these eclipses, areas of life corresponding to the 3rd–9th house axis were activated. Therefore, the main changes affected our habitual belief systems regarding “neighbors,” both near (regions) and far (foreign countries), as well as testing our nation’s capacity for radical transformation in the name of integration into civilized international structures.
However, the final resolution of these house themes will not occur before August 2016, when
for Ukraine, eclipses will highlight the themes of the 2nd–8th house axis. Only then will everyone finally understand:
– that societal and national stability is possible only through overcoming crises in the sphere of the national economy;
– that integration into civilized international structures based on feudalism and smuggling is impossible;
– that global economic structures will no longer continue supporting, through loans and financial relations, this ongoing bacchanalia of lawlessness and simulated reforms.
For our country, this period will primarily involve changes in the legislative framework. The foundation has already been laid this year. However, political changes and conflict resolution will become possible only within the context of agreements that will be compulsory (Aquarius) and concealed (Pisces) from the general public.
Characteristics of the Total Lunar Eclipse of the Supermoon on September 28, 2015.
On the eve of the eclipse, a major Orthodox holiday was celebrated – the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, traditionally given to Christians as aid in the struggle against negative forces, the forces of the Devil. Therefore, many believe that from now on, God, the Mother of God, and all the Heavenly Saints will fight against dark forces. The degree symbol – “A white triangle with golden wings on the upper sides” – indicates that new dimensions of existence are mobilizing efforts. So be it!
This is especially relevant for Ukraine, as the Black Moon (the faithful servant of the Devil) has frequently been at the center of events in recent years, both by transit and in the natal chart.
Precisely through her, reality has been and remains maximally distorted by false and provocative information, the incitement of hysterical fears, and perceptions that divide society into “us” and “them.” For example, transiting Pluto is again in conjunction with the natal Black Moon. There is a very strong temptation for the people, the nation (Ukraine’s 1st natal house), to participate in the forceful resolution of a pseudo-conflict between different regions of the country. It is difficult for people to refrain from involvement in various adventures aimed at establishing “social justice” and to resist provocations by enemies. This has already led to, and could still lead to, self-destruction or the disappearance of entire groups of patriotically minded individuals falling under the control of criminal mafias and organizations.
This eclipse did not pass without the influence of the Black Moon. It will be in opposition to the Sun, conjunct the Black Moon. But now the situation must fundamentally change, as the Sun at the moment of eclipse will completely cover the Black Moon, thereby depriving her of the ability to continue spreading insinuations, provocations, temptations, and destructive tendencies. Her influence will no longer be as fatal as before, although for some time we will still feel the aggressive tone of her currents.
At 03:11 Kyiv time, the Moon will begin entering Earth’s shadow and will exit the shadow after 08:22. The maximum eclipse will occur at 5:50 and last approximately 30 minutes.
This unique eclipse falls in the first decanate of Aries, ruled by two warlike planets, Mars and Pluto. Therefore, there is no doubt they will bring to the forefront themes of conflicts, including military ones, themes of law enforcement agencies and alliances, radical parties and unions, potentially triggering maximum public resonance. Thus, the likelihood of harsh methods in resolving disagreements and crisis situations is very high, especially since Mars forms a tense aspect with Saturn.
Everything will depend on the level of psychological tension, as the concentration of political (elections!), as well as socio-economic (prices, utility tariffs, etc.) issues will be off the charts. Against this backdrop, processes of “division” and “separation” under the banner of “freedom of choice,” initiated in the past, may gain new momentum and even culminate in certain political formalization.
