Mercury sextile: The work of thought is effective between what a person does not understand and what they cannot influence in principle. The Mercury sextile gives the planet the ability to constructively interact with the principle of thinking. The statement “the mind is above all” is both a simplification of reality and its falsification; however, in the sphere of the planet’s influence, the sextile will provide the person with various opportunities for rational understanding and tactical mental control. The Mercury sextile does not provide instant and easy superficial rational understanding of the planet’s principle, which is characteristic of a trine, but it makes efforts aimed at comprehending it constructive, and with some effort, the person reaches a level where their understanding does not profane the planet’s principle but, on the contrary, gives it new directions for development. When interpreting, it is important to pay attention to which planet is stronger in the sextile. If Mercury is stronger, the person may be tempted to consider their initial (or secondary) thoughts sufficient and effective, suppressing the planet’s principle with them, distorting it greatly, and mental control over the planet will turn out to be too rigid. At a low level, the person does not understand the actions and opportunities provided by Uranus; they seem to them beautiful or partially frightening but meaningless and useless fireworks, or, in the case of a defeated Uranus, sometimes take on the character of an overvalued idea.
