Sextile Sun – Saturn
(Transit. Sun → Natal Saturn)
Various sources for the child’s horoscope
Your child has patience, concentration, and self-discipline readily available. They feel a passionate desire for words of recognition for their achievements. Parents should support the child and emphasize their successes. The child may feel that their father is absent—they may be physically unreachable due to a profession that consumes all their time. As a result, the child reacts inappropriately if the father is overly critical or demanding. What they need is for their father to gently, patiently, and lovingly guide their actions.

Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
The sextile of the Sun: An incorrect choice most often does not stem from frivolity or error but from betrayal of one’s own higher self. The Sun sextile gives a person opportunities in areas governed by the planet involved, but realizing these opportunities will require willpower and initiative. It is likely that in the process of working through these opportunities, the person will encounter rather rigid, imperative circumstances—though these will not be hostile but rather potentially friendly, demanding a certain approach and mutual adaptation. The Sun sextile seems to present the person (in the areas ruled by the planet) with a masculine challenge, testing their will to overcome obstacles and establish cooperation; the obstacles are not antagonistic, and the cooperation is expected to be beneficial and effective. If the person does not feel ready to accept this challenge, they may reject it—once, twice, three times… Over time, such a consistent refusal to accept any constructive offers from fate begins to work against the person. They degrade and fall into rigid karmic programs where their choices are minimal or nonexistent. On the other hand, the Sun sextile offers a valuable opportunity to work through its principle—that is, one’s will—through constructive activity related to the planet. By resolving the internal issues that arise in connection with such activity, the person learns to direct their will correctly, gains the ability to determine which egregore guides them, and aligns it with external circumstances and the various programs of the subconscious. For example, the Sun–Moon sextile is a highly promising aspect; it offers great opportunities for both physical and spiritual development. At a high level, it is an aspect of spiritual teachers who deeply understand the relationship between higher and lower principles in a specific person and can guide them onto a constructive path of evolutionary development.
The sextile of Saturn: A person’s life must be such that it is worth understanding. The Saturn sextile gives a person opportunities for in-depth work in the spheres governed by the planet. However, they must be able to recognize these opportunities, as Saturn’s handwriting—especially at low levels of its expression—often leads the person to focus more on their misfortunes tied to external limitations than on developing and working through less obvious plans and prospects. At the same time, Saturn’s influence makes the person internally serious and purposeful in the areas governed by the planet, but they must recognize this themselves rather than suppress it in the subconscious (which is quite possible at a low level, especially in fire–air charts). Saturn invites the person to delve deeply into the planet’s issues, to sort out the influence of its principle on their inner life, and only then to take active external steps. It promises deep insight into the mysteries of the planet, wise mastery and control over it—but within the framework of karma, which in this case imposes significant limitations that must be learned to see. When the sextile is activated, the person may feel a certain freezing, an external and internal braking, as if inviting them to look inward more attentively and thoroughly sort out the planet’s principle (usually on the material of a specific problem arising from the intensification of external or internal limitations). If the person stubbornly ignores Saturn’s suggestions, Saturn may freeze the planet, and then the person will study its principle under duress. For example, attempts to treat love (in any of its forms) lightly with a Saturn–Venus sextile can produce an utterly heartless person who later may be karmically sent a deeply beloved and equally indifferent grandchild, forcing them to experience the same torment they once caused.

S.V. Shestopalov. Aspects of Planets
This interaction of the planets grants concentration, clarity, depth, foresight, planning, purposefulness, diligence, perseverance, endurance, patience, persistence, responsibility, seriousness, discipline, organization, a tendency toward order, thoughtfulness, methodicalness, logic, rationality, calmness, and the ability to submit. The negative side of this aspect can make a person conservative, slow, unable to act quickly and decisively in critical situations, heavy-handed, sluggish, inert, overly compliant to the point of blind obedience in work or love, and boring due to their overly rigid thoughts and actions.
