Catherine Aubier. Astrological Dictionary
Conjunction: a combination of the incompatible — an Olympian god and a god from the underworld, who can coexist only for the sake of striving for absolute power and becoming the “supreme judge.” If necessary, he will subjugate the surrounding world to the authoritative hand of a sole ruler. In some cases, a person may imagine themselves as a bearer of inevitable justice. Trine, sextile: the same meanings as the conjunction, but in a more softened form.

Jupiter Sextile: Brilliant opportunities are better given than taken. Let’s give Jupiter its due: any of its aspects (especially major ones) to a Planet provides an expansion of opportunities in its spheres, absolutely free of charge; the only question is how to approach them correctly and manage them wisely. A Jupiter sextile gives a person an interest in expanding the spheres governed by the Planet, a broader understanding of its principle in both external and internal life. Jupiter will offer them many convenient occasions for this, arranging them with its characteristic pomp. However, a person who believes that the horn of plenty will continue its activity as wonderfully as it began will be greatly mistaken. Further personal efforts will be required, and brilliant prospects will demand corresponding efforts for their realization (Jupiter will, of course, help along the way, but one will still have to pay for the help somehow, as well as for the assistance of unexpected patrons). The Jupiter sextile is good because it expands opportunities and forms of work and provides a better, broader understanding of the Planet’s principle, especially if one begins to work with the sextile. Characteristic of the Jupiter sextile is also that a person receives opportunities on credit, and often has to pay back in an indirect form (not on the principle of “I give to you – you give to me,” but rather “you give to me – I give to someone else”), which is not always easy for the person to understand. At a low level, a person perceives the Jupiter sextile as a trine and seeks to absorb all advances without giving anything in return, which leads to unpleasant consequences for them. Specifically, seemingly very promising opportunities unexpectedly and permanently close, and the person feels unfairly treated by fate, with a major hint of megalomania. Working with the sextile means not only a great expansion and effective use of the Planet’s spheres of influence but also a large number of promising developments that the person will offer to the external world. Pluto Sextile: Striving to make the world worthy of yourself, remember that this is impossible. A Pluto sextile gives a person opportunities for purification in the spheres governed by the Planet, and these opportunities should not be neglected. In life, this influence often does not have a very pronounced emphasis, but nevertheless, a person notices that when choosing and realizing the opportunities offered by the Planet, they should be careful, because incorrect actions and especially any sloppiness lead to irreversible losses and the collapse of constructive endeavors. Sometimes Pluto can offer the Planetary principle several options for sacrifice, and here a person should be very careful and not act on immediate considerations, at least try not to postpone the sacrifice as long as it is generally possible: the sharp blows of the Plutonian year are always better prevented in advance, and in this particular instance. Working with it provides purification of the Planetary principle in a person’s inner life, particularly subconscious programs related to the Planet’s spheres of influence. This purification occurs as if by itself, as a side result of a person’s internal efforts aimed at achieving one or another specific goal among those offered by the sextile, and includes, in particular, the eradication of the thirst for power over people that activates the Planetary principle in the person. At a high level, the emphasis in the sextile can shift to Pluto (at a medium level, this is rare and signifies severe blows of the year), and then the person actively participates in large programs related to the burning of karmic nodes, and the constructive influence of the Planet will be felt in the specific forms of their work. At a low level, a person will try to avoid options for constructive cleansing and sacrifices for themselves, attempting to postpone them as much as possible or shift them onto other people, over whom (in the Planet’s spheres) they will have a certain power, and they can clearly see their shortcomings. With good energy, this projection can work out quite well for some time (provided efforts are made), but games with Plutonian programs always follow the principle of “he who lives by the sword dies by the sword,” in the sense that the purification of others is either preceded by voluntary or followed by compulsory self-purification.
