Rat (1900, 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996) – born under the sign of charm and aggression. At first glance, she appears calm, balanced, and cheerful. But do not believe it. This seemingly peaceful exterior hides constant excitement. It is enough to spend more time talking with her to discover her nervousness, anxiety, and choleric temperament. The Rat creates confusion, sometimes even bordering on mania. At the very least, she is a scandal-monger. She enjoys gatherings of friends and readily gossips. She does not shy away from slander, and therefore has more acquaintances than true friends. She never trusts anyone, is reserved, and keeps her worries to herself. Moreover, those born under this sign strive to gain personal benefit and profit from everything: from friends, acquaintances, their own money, or friends’ money, even from their own charm. The Rat unleashes and abuses her dangerous charm without restraint.
Ox (1901, 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997) – Patient and silent, restrained and slow, inconspicuous and balanced, precise and methodical, the Ox possesses the gift of drawing people into openness—this is one of the key assets behind his success. He is an observer. Perhaps that is why he enjoys solitude. He is often criticized. Reserved, yet at the same time obsessive. Although his anger rarely surfaces, when it does, it is all the more terrifying. It is generally unwise to oppose him, as he can become dangerous. Despite his impassive appearance, he is stubborn and cannot tolerate failure. Woe to anyone who stands in his way. He is a boss, a leader. Usually closed-off, but he can become talkative when absolutely necessary.
Tiger (1902, 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998) – Tigers are known for their strength and determination. No other creature on Earth combines such beauty, strength, and energy. Add courage to this, and you have the complete list of admirable qualities bestowed upon those born in the Year of the Tiger. On both physical and mental levels, you are not without enemies. Although you are capable of winning many skirmishes, battle is an entirely different matter. In any environment, the Tiger never goes unnoticed. You are an active revolutionary who will never remain an indifferent bystander when others are treated unjustly. And no one would even dare intimidate you. You love the fight, and few are better equipped to rise to the top. As a Tiger, you are impulsive and idealistic, quickly spotting flaws in others. Your reactions against any form of authority are always direct, especially when you perceive corruption. You are a natural leader—recall Karl Marx and his influence on the greatest revolutions in human history.

Rabbit (1903, 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999) – always lands on its feet. This is a lucky one. Gifted, moderately ambitious, pleasant company, modest, restrained, refined, and virtuous. Everyone knows this. Speaks well and knows how to present oneself. But within many advantages lies one flaw, though small, yet not less important: the Rabbit is a superficial person, and even their best qualities are superficial. They love society, and society loves them. They enjoy social gatherings and sometimes gossip, but do so subtly, tactfully, and cautiously. They enjoy hosting guests, and their home is always arranged with refined taste. This is a social person: some might call them a snob. They are pedantic.
Dragon (1904, 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000) – possesses an abundance of health, vitality, and activity. Open and pure as gold, he is incapable of pettiness, hypocrisy, slander, or even basic diplomacy. Though not as naive as the good-natured Pig, he is trusting and can always be deceived. The Dragon is sensitive. He often worries for unfounded reasons. His striving for perfection makes him demanding of both himself and others. He is scrupulous. He demands much, yet gives far more in return. Easily irritated. The Dragon is not restrained in speech, and his words often precede his thoughts. Nevertheless, one should pay attention to his well- or poorly-expressed opinions, as he gives sound advice. An unrestrained enthusiast, he is easily captivated. A proud, versatile, intelligent, strong-willed, enduring, and generous person. People listen to him; he is influential.
Snake (1905, 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001) – She decisively sees through any endeavor to its end. Failure is abhorrent to her, and although she is naturally calm, she makes decisions quickly. She can move heaven and earth to achieve her set goals. She is a poor gambler.
The Snake dislikes lending, but may offer help out of sympathy. Rarely repays in hard cash, most often in personal effort. Unfortunately, she almost always goes to extremes, and her goodwill toward others tends to consume her entirely. Snakes have a tendency toward exaggeration, and if she has done someone a favor, she becomes obsessed, clinging more tightly than helpfully. Instinct drives her to coil around those indebted to her, even to the point of suffocation.
Horse (1906, 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002) – The Horse has hot blood (hence the expression “horse fever”), easily loses temper, and thus often squanders what has been achieved. Anyone who has ever witnessed her anger will never fully trust her, as her rage contains something untamed. To achieve success, she must suppress this within herself.
She is brilliant, loves and knows how to lead people. Her mind grasps others’ thoughts before they are even expressed. However, the Horse is capable not only of mental but also of physical labor. More agile than intellectual, in truth (and she knows this well), she lacks self-confidence. Despite this, she carries herself assuredly.
Goat (1907, 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003) – Elegant, artistic, in love with nature, the Goat could have been the most charming of signs, were it not also indecisive. The Goat is never satisfied with her fate. Her whims drive those around her to despair. A taker, though she herself does not admit it. Her lack of discipline, habitual lateness—she has no sense of time—makes her unbearable, yet she knows how to please when it suits her interests, how to use others and live at their expense. Despite this, she is not dependent, but easily adapts to any lifestyle once her minimum security is assured. She enjoys being talked about, being guided, being advised, as others accommodate her eternal hesitations, cunning, and complaints. She never knows which direction to take and always relies on others.
Monkey (1908, 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004) – often the soul of society, she has a sense of humor, but is always cunning and sly. Sociable and gives the impression of getting along with all signs. But this harmony is deceptive. The Monkey is highly self-serving. Playful, friendly, even helpful, she conceals her contemptuous opinion of others behind her showy kindness and affability. In reality, she looks down on all other signs and considers herself superior. The Monkey is an intellectual. She has a great thirst for knowledge. She has read extensively, knows an infinite number of things, and is constantly up-to-date on everything happening in the world. She is well-educated and has an excellent memory, allowing her to recall the smallest details of what she has seen, read, or heard. Ultimately, memory is essential for her, as everything in her mind is chaotic. She is extremely inventive and capable of solving the most difficult problems with astonishing speed. But if she does not begin implementing them immediately, she abandons them as soon as she starts. The Monkey possesses much common sense and remarkable skill in deceiving people.
Rooster (1909, 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005) – truly, says what he thinks. But this frankness is, more often than not, a tendency toward egotism. He is completely indifferent to the sensitivities of others and believes there is no reason to spare them. This quality, of course, blocks the path to a diplomatic career. As for eccentricity, it is merely an appearance. Clearly, he enjoys being noticed and dresses in a way that draws attention. Yet in truth, the Rooster is deeply and thoroughly conservative, even in political views, even to his own detriment. He believes he is right and knows what he is doing. He trusts no one and relies only on himself. At the same time, he generously dispenses advice. Clearly, he appears to be an adventurer.
Dog (1910, 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006) – always restless, always on guard, never at rest. She is always on alert, ever watchful. The Dog is reserved. She rarely reveals her feelings, except when necessary. Extremely stubborn and knows exactly what she wants. Often tends toward cynicism, and others fear her sharp, unpleasant remarks. The Dog has a tendency to dwell on details, to criticize without cause, and systematically seeks out any flaw. In reality, she is a great pessimist who expects nothing from life. Yet the Dog always bravely acts against any injustice. She is a skeptic, but her critical mind, sense of humor, and undeniable nobility of spirit save her from pettiness.
Pig (1911, 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007) – the Pig has a lively nature, but she will never contradict or argue with you if she loves you. In short, she is not inclined toward disputes and will make any concession to avoid conflict, even while remaining convinced of her own correctness. Being impulsive and honest, she always ends up yielding to someone less scrupulous.
Charming, helpful, and extremely meticulous. You can trust her—she will never betray you and will never attempt to deceive anyone. She is naive, trusting, and defenseless.
