Moon quincunx: What prevents a person from sensing God through the senses? Atheism. This individual will find it difficult to understand certain inner feelings, emotions, and physical states in the areas of the Planet. The Cosmos grants him the ability to emotionally and physically sense its vibrations in these areas, but this requires a certain inner tuning and purity—specifically, of the physical and astral bodies. At a low level, this may manifest as ordinary earthly circumstances in the Planet’s spheres barely affecting the person emotionally, which may disturb him, as he may consider himself abnormal or deprived by fate. Yet attempts to experience the same emotions as others will end in failure and downfall. The proper approach, on the contrary, lies in eliminating coarse emotions and physical excesses in the Planet’s areas and carefully attuning to (the only truly satisfying for the person) cosmic vibrations, subjectively perceived as superhuman, abstract, etc. For example, a Moon-Venus quincunx produces a person for whom ordinary social and sexual relationships will not bring deep satisfaction—they will merely skim the surface of his feelings, and this is as it should be: in social interaction (and especially in love) he is attuned to subtle cosmic vibrations, and all his attempts to be “like everyone else” and profane them will end in inner nausea, despair, sorrow, and protest, the true causes of which will be difficult for him to comprehend. Working through the Moon quincunx leads to a refined, instinctive attunement to cosmic radiations in the Planet’s spheres (a cosmic medium)—a person who can give much to others if he succeeds in internally, subconsciously, accepting cosmic ethics in these areas; however, this always implies great sacrifices on the part of the ego. Neptune quincunx: One does not have to be good; it is enough to be honest and attentive. This aspect brings in the Planet’s spheres the influence of cosmic love, which the person at a low level most often perceives negatively. Contemporary civilization is such that even earthly forces pushing a person toward evolutionary development are predominantly perceived as evil, and conscious spiritual growth is usually pursued by those who have reached a complete dead end in all other directions. Thus, high cosmic vibrations in the Planet’s spheres mean for the person either incomprehensible shifts in consciousness (transcendent meditations) or such life turns that “you can’t make sense of without half a liter.” However, the latter will lower the level of cosmic meditation to an earthly, understandable, and even nearly ecstatic state. If Neptune is afflicted in the Planet’s spheres, irrational feelings of cosmic guilt may arise, usually repressed, along with inner conflict due to the mismatch between perceptions of cosmic and earthly grace, mercy, and compassion—since the Cosmos is primarily interested in the evolution of spirit, while people mostly orient themselves and remain limited to the physical, etheric, and astral bodies, blissfully ignoring karmic laws altogether. To overcome the contradictions between earthly and cosmic Neptunian influences, the person must learn to see karma, adopt a cosmic point of view, and only then attempt to harmonize earthly karma with higher influences. To achieve this, in the Planet’s spheres he must first rid himself of constant petty lies and self-deception, which mask what is truly at stake. Cosmic love does not so much soften suffering as shorten it, redirecting pain along more constructive paths for the individual.
