Neptune-Chiron Sesquiquadrate

Neptune sesquiquadrate: An idolater in any religion is still an idolater. At a low level of integration, this person will clumsily lie or find themselves in mistaken positions within the spheres of the planet, perceiving this as inevitable and sometimes even constructive. For example, an unworked Jupiter-Neptune sesquiquadrate may make a person susceptible to flattery, which can become their primary weapon—yet one that frequently undermines them, though awareness of this remains difficult. At a low level, this aspect imposes overly rigid boundaries of understanding and overly formalized paths of meditation, usually quite basic, which the person nevertheless considers exemplary and leading precisely where they should. For instance, a Moon-Neptune sesquiquadrate may establish once and for all a specific rest ritual involving alcohol consumption, drunken arguments, and hangovers the next day, rendering any other recreational ideas inconceivable. At a high level, the person grasps subtle paths of planetary sphere development and revitalizes meditative practices; for example, well-worn prayer paths become overgrown with living flowers of delicate, fluid, and never-repeating religious sensations and experiences—this is the path of saints who transcend the dogma of the official church. Chiron sesquiquadrate: If one lies down on one’s side, the higher and lower origins become, respectively, the right and left. This aspect creates a tendency to use ideas and methods whose true meaning remains inaccessible to the person, while side effects are unclear and unpredictable. This is a dangerous aspect, especially for individuals with a strong Saturn capable of prolonged, focused engagement and deep but narrow penetration into poorly studied areas. The Chiron sesquiquadrate brings the temptation to crudely employ subtle instruments, whose power may manifest very unexpectedly, turning the person from a subject into an object of a karmic experiment. A typical example of the unworked Chiron sesquiquadrate is the attempt at materialistic-“scientific” study and application of esoteric techniques involving perception of the astral and causal planes, traditionally transmitted from teacher to prepared student. Here, amateurism quickly leads to the person’s subjugation to a rigid magical egregore and loss of free will and thought (in pronounced cases, to desocialization and mental illness). Proper integration enables breakthroughs into previously practically inaccessible realms of the subtle world and allows effective work within them through unusual yet entirely real methods and instruments, which the person perceives as physical, although their influence extends into subtle spheres.
