Moon quincunx: What prevents a person from sensing God through the senses? Atheism. This individual will find it difficult to understand certain inner feelings, emotions, and physical states in the areas of the Planet. The Cosmos grants him the ability to emotionally and physically sense its vibrations in these areas, but this requires a certain inner tuning and purity—specifically, of the physical and astral bodies. At a low level, this may manifest as ordinary earthly circumstances in the Planet’s spheres barely affecting the person emotionally, which may disturb him, as he may consider himself abnormal or deprived by fate. Yet attempts to experience the same emotions as others will end in failure and collapse. The correct approach, on the contrary, lies in eliminating coarse emotions and physical excesses in the Planet’s spheres and carefully attuning to (the only ones truly satisfying for the person) cosmic vibrations, subjectively perceived as superhuman, abstract, etc. For example, a Moon-Venus quincunx produces a person for whom ordinary social and sexual relationships will not bring deep satisfaction—they will merely skim the surface of his feelings, and this is as it should be: in social interaction (and especially in love) he is attuned to subtle cosmic vibrations, and all his attempts to be “like everyone else” and profane these higher vibrations will result in inner nausea, despair, sorrow, and protest—understanding the true causes of which will be quite difficult for the person. Working through the Moon’s quincunx leads to a refined, instinctive attunement to cosmic radiations in the Planet’s spheres (a cosmic medium)—a person who can give much to others, if he succeeds in internally, subconsciously, accepting cosmic ethics in these areas; however, this always entails enormous sacrifices from the ego. Saturn quincunx: A person who lacks inner freedom has no moral right to demand civil freedoms. This aspect gives the individual dissatisfaction with ordinary earthly means of deepening in the Planet’s spheres, no matter how deeply he penetrates them, and the same applies to working through its principle in the inner world: here, the person needs to hear cosmic resonance and perceive unearthly depth, which he feels he has the ability to grasp. At a low level, of course, the person is unaware of all this, and his Saturn quincunx manifests as minor annoyances and limitations in the Planet’s spheres, related to his orientation toward ordinary earthly methods of resolving corresponding issues and inability to view them from a cosmic perspective, and although subconsciously he senses something deeper, it will be quite difficult. Generally, this aspect produces dissatisfaction with earthly wisdom and a desire to attain cosmic wisdom in the Planet’s spheres. Sometimes the person may feel he is gaining insight, but initially with strong distortions, since cosmic laws can only be understood through conscious and subconscious departure from geocentric positions and the majority of social views, which hold people very tightly, especially in serious matters. Therefore, here there is a likelihood of poorly conscious oscillations between cosmic attitudes, which are attractive to the subconscious but suspicious, and earthly, established ones, which are reliable but unsatisfying; as a result, the issue is repressed, leaving a general vague feeling of dissatisfaction, or, especially if the quincunx is afflicted, stress develops. The process of integration is difficult here, but it yields cosmic wisdom, insight into karma, and the ability to harmoniously weave cosmic karma into earthly life.
