The Mercury conjunction: Anxiety arises both from the absence of thought and, in many cases, from its presence. Mercury gives the planet it is conjunct with a strong mental coloring, even when it is not needed or desired by the individual; for example, when Mercury is conjunct Venus in a romantic relationship, there will be so much calculation and deliberation that any direct feeling and living sensation will last for a very short time, especially if Mercury is stronger than Venus. Unfortunately, mental coloring is not synonymous with intelligence, as it often reduces to commonplace, flat perceptions and stereotypes of collective consciousness and subconsciousness, which will actively influence the planet’s principle, strongly schematizing and profaning it. Processing the aspect grants great creative abilities, manifested as subtle and inventive indirect mental control over the planet’s principle at the necessary moments. Saturn conjunction: Over time, it naturally slows down. The challenge is to notice this. A planet’s conjunction with Saturn constricts and freezes its principle; here, the karmic requirement is deep processing, including freeing the planet’s principle from superficial egoistic programs that demand payment for any minor effort.
