Sun’s biquintile: A promising direction for eradicating crime lies in the widespread practice of mercy. This aspect directs a person’s initiative in the planet’s spheres toward lower and imperfect forms of life, which on a low level manifests primarily as instructions and directives imposed authoritatively, yet with poor understanding of the essence of the matter. In reality, this aspect indicates that a person can take constructive part in the issues of lower life, and moreover, such life requires their volitional impulses and initiatives—provided there is good understanding and not merely self-serving interest. Then the person can achieve much, and in doing so, their own vitality will grow, along with the emergence of humane qualities. Defeat of the Sun signifies strong dictatorial tendencies, inclination to disregard the complexity of inner antagonisms and problems of lower life, and pronounced separation of it from oneself as evolutionarily higher; defeat of the planet signifies the complexity of lower life issues (including in corresponding spheres) and the strength of one’s own egoism. Harmony between the Sun and the planet indicates the temptation of purely selfish, effortless consumption of lower life forms, which will offer no noticeable resistance and, on the contrary, will initially be only delighted by any attention from such a lofty companion, even if he sprinkles them with rue and spices them with garlic in a quite obvious manner. For example, a harmonious Sun-Moon biquintile provides good understanding of domestic animals and affectionate relationships with them, either urban type (“favorite dog sleeping with owner on the same bed”) or rural type (“eat, eat, little pig, until autumn when we’ll slaughter you”). Pluto’s biquintile: A person’s spiritual level is determined by the amount of conscience they have managed to awaken within the epoch. This aspect, in its well-integrated form, gives the person the ability to participate effectively in complex issues of lower life; for them, it appears as a bearer of fate, something inevitable and relentless, yet ultimately fair, guiding them in the right direction. In the harmonious variant, the person easily perceives inadequacies and weaknesses in lower life forms within the planet’s spheres and finds the least painful ways to eliminate them. At the same time, however, certain disappointments and irreversible losses await, since some lower forms cannot withstand criticism and (karmically) must be completely eliminated—a fact with which the person may struggle to reconcile, as these forms resonate within their subconscious, and the death of external life forms destroys something within themselves. With afflicted Pluto, this sometimes occurs very painfully, and the person may become embittered, emotionally detaching themselves from lower life and its problems, as a result becoming its merciless persecutor, seeing in it only evil deserving ruthless annihilation; in doing so, however, they destroy the human element within themselves, placing themselves in service to a cruel egregore and losing free will. The resolution here comes through careful study of lower life forms with full respect for the laws of their development and their inherent ethics; only after this can the person understand and love lower life forms, perceiving them as kin, so that any surgical intervention becomes healing and humane.
