Moon – Mercury Biquintile
(Transit Moon → Natal Mercury)
Avesalom Podvodny. Aspects
Moon’s biquintile: The people do not possess the language through which they could express their soul. This aspect grants in the areas of the Planet a good intuitive understanding of lower forms of life, especially biological needs, if the person desires it. In the harmonious variant, they will skillfully select the landscape, food, lighting, and oxygen levels for aquarium fish, and will easily find a common language with a down-and-out alcoholic, sincerely sympathizing with them, and if not guiding them onto the true path (which, of course, is difficult), then at least emotionally warming them (feeling thus Moon-Venus). When the Moon is afflicted, lower forms of life in the Planet’s spheres will constantly irritate the person, who may then vent upon them the aggression arising from entirely different causes, for example, from planets forming stressful major aspects to the Moon. In such cases, it will be difficult for the person to recognize either the (even potential) spirituality of lower life forms or (especially) the connection between their problems and imperfections and their own, although in this case the analogy may be obvious: overweight owners most often have overweight dogs, and the evolutionary development of a family egregore is easiest to determine by its level. Mercury’s biquintile: When casting lines, pupae usually emerge. This aspect at low and middle levels gives the person in the Planet’s spheres the appearance of rational understanding of lower forms of life and a mental interest in them. However, their thoughts in this direction will be marked by a certain liveliness, and with a harmonious Mercury, they may prove useful—at least, the charm of their speech will not be wasted, and their skill in organizing the functioning of lower life forms in their personal interests may be extraordinary: this is the aspect of the colonizer. An afflicted biquintile between Mercury and Pluto may produce a ruthless slave trader, but this is rather an exception; at the middle level, the person still attempts, however condescendingly, to treat the natives humanely, to develop (to the extent possible) their rational thinking, and to appeal to it. If Mercury is afflicted, this will initially work poorly, and a mother with such a biquintile might seriously attempt to appeal to the logic and reason of a one-year-old child; if the Planet is afflicted, the person’s rational reasoning, despite being entirely correct, will be ineffective, and they will have to rely on their intuition and natural humanity, which may suggest a behavior that is logically non-obvious but accurate in the most complicated situations.
