FORETELLINGS OF ASTROLOGERS ABOUT MUHAMMAD
English astrologer Raphael cites several examples of predictions and advice given to emperors of his lineage. Raphael summarizes the historical overview of astrology and magic with the following words: “Since these sciences were widespread among various Arab tribes and were highly revered in Egypt, it is beyond doubt that the respect Arabs generally held greatly contributed to the success of Muhammad. In his life, there were many favorable predictions from renowned astrologers of his time, including the prediction of Ekey, who warned the Prophet’s uncle that all circumstances of the boy’s childhood indicated that he was extraordinarily unusual and that his life should be guarded unceasingly and with great care. Also well-known is the prophecy of another, no less famous astrologer in this art, who, upon being introduced to Muhammad in Basra, took him by the hand and, beside himself with joy, exclaimed with reverent admiration: ‘Behold, the King of the World, the Blessing of the Universe!’” (Manly P.
