What is a loan?
One credit is a unit of computational cost for a request. Simple lookups (e.g. `/planets`) cost 10 credits, a full natal chart — 20, synastry — 50. Full pricing on the /pricing/ page.
What happens if I exceed the monthly quota?
Paid plans include overage — $5 / 10K credits on Indie/Starter, $3 on Pro, $2 on Business. On Starter+ you can set an overage limit to cap the amount. On Free, requests are blocked until next month.
Can the tariff be changed at any time?
Yes. Upgrade is applied instantly, downgrade — from the next period. Unused credits of the current period are proportionally converted.
Are the same requests cached?
Yes. Identical input within 5 minutes is returned from cache without credit deduction. The `X-Cache: HIT` header confirms this. For AI endpoints — 50% discount on cache-hit.
How to safely provide an AI agent with an API key?
Create a separate key with a limited quota (built-in on Starter+). If the agent loops, you lose a maximum of $0.40, not the entire monthly budget.
Accuracy of calculations?
Swiss Ephemeris — the gold standard for astrological calculations, the same library used in Solar Fire and ZET. Cross-checked with NASA Eclipse Catalog in CI on every PR. 183 snapshot tests protect all endpoints from regression.
