“We can choose what horror teaches us. To become embittered by grief and fear. Hostile. Numb. Or to cling to something childlike within us, alive and inquisitive, to that part of us that remains innocent.” This quote is from the book “Man’s Search for Meaning.” Its author is a woman who, as a young girl, survived a German concentration camp. She speaks of how she overcame the horrors of wartime and the fears of the postwar peacetime. In our shared victory, every Ukrainian contributes their own story of personal triumph on their individual “front,” and each contribution is precious because we stand united.

Today is a tense day. Doubt in our own strength arises, as does dependence on others’ opinions and words. Everything unpleasant within us may surface, but this means we have previously encouraged such behavior or emotions in ourselves. Today, however, these unpleasant traits or concentrations of difficulties manifest so that we may consciously cleanse our lives. Reflect on the causes and consequences of today’s situations.
Today’s acquaintances and meetings often draw us into trouble or drain our energy. The likelihood of conflicts over nothing increases. A single careless word or an untimely emotional outburst may be enough to spark an argument. The main cause of irritability is an excessive focus on one’s own opinion.
Today is favorable for cleansing ourselves and clearing our space of unnecessary things and outdated inner experiences. It is beneficial to examine the darkest corners and delve into what still causes pain in our hearts. Yet today’s heightened sensitivity can precisely point us to the areas that require our attention.
