Milova I. I. Lilith in the Houses of the Horoscope
Relationships with children and lovers—these are the focal points where the forces of freedom and truth manifest in a person’s life. Freedom in choosing relationships with them may lead either to fortunate outcomes or to destructive ones, affecting both the individual and those close to them. The person is not bound by conventions and obligatory duties—will they use this freedom for good? Creativity, leisure, entertainment—this is where they can express their talents. And will they become a free artist or a reckless outcast free from all responsibilities—that is the question. They find it difficult to build relationships with lovers, feeling dissatisfaction with the current situation and sensing countless possibilities far ahead on the distant horizon. They are captivated by this ever-changing scenery and struggle to maintain consistency, restrain their amusements, or set a proper example for their children. They seem to walk in a closed circle, hoping to break free from it. By following the path of least resistance, they fail to experience the joy of peace and stability. Therefore, often with age, they dedicate their lives, for example, to creativity—some form of free self-expression in something, not in someone. Something they could have done earlier, but at that time they saw a horizon too beautiful, too distant, and so unattainable… Extreme manifestations: a person who completely renounces worldly pleasures, allows themselves not a moment of rest, considers any amusement evil or unnecessary, or an irresponsible, self-centered individual who thinks only of their own pleasure and gratification.
Galina Volzhina. Black Moon in the Houses
The axis of the fifth and eleventh houses symbolizes the connection between personal creative self-expression and group activities. In the fifth house, the Black Moon distorts a person’s creative expressions. It affects their desire to be noticed and valued in society, their leisure time and amusements, the birth of children and relationships with them, and determines the nature of romantic preferences. If the Black Moon is in the fifth house and manifests through active expressions, the person makes enormous efforts to stand out from the crowd and attract attention, which is often inappropriate. An obsessive desire to always be in the spotlight and a relentless pursuit of popularity irresistibly draw them toward the theatrical stage or sports arena—anywhere they can realize their ambitions, which, however, usually remain unfulfilled. This influence of the Black Moon prevents the person from harmoniously expressing themselves in the circumstances of the eleventh house: they are accustomed to pulling the blanket over themselves and cannot function as an equal member of a group. Under the influence of the Black Moon in the fifth house, a person may become a compulsive gambler, expose themselves to sudden risks, become involved in speculations or dubious amusements. They may frequently, yet passionately, fall in love, though the endings of these romantic affairs are rarely happy. Sometimes, all of the person’s energy is absorbed by concern for children, with whom their relationship is always strongly emotionally charged. In such cases, there will inevitably be difficulties with children, in the best scenario due to the parent’s excessive nervous tension. If in the fifth house the Black Moon enhances passivity, the person loses the ability for adequate creative self-expression, desires to disappear among people, painfully perceives attention directed at them, and sometimes avoids any interaction with a group. They have no interests, don’t know how to spend their free time, and suffer from boredom. Occasionally, the influence of the Black Moon may provoke hostility toward children and a reluctance to have their own. In cases of deep distortions in the sphere of the fifth house, the Black Moon may be associated with a karmic absence of children despite the person’s desire.
