WHAT ELEMENT ARE YOU? Determine it by appearance!
Elements
Of immense importance in creating an individual astrological diet is the balance of elements in the individual astrological chart. But what should you do if you don’t have your natal chart at hand and currently have no opportunity to order one from an astrologer? How can you discover your “native” element (which is not necessarily the element of your Sun sign)? We suggest determining your element by physical appearance.
Which element do you belong to?
People of the Fire element usually have an impressive appearance, are attractive, tall, aristocratic, impulsive, bright, and active. Their features are characterized by straight lines and sharpness. Fire signs often have wide-set, bright, burning eyes, a nose with a prominent bridge, a sloping forehead, a tendency toward baldness, a heavy protruding chin, large teeth. Hair is thick and long. The upper body is usually well-developed, while arms, legs, and neck are short. Their gait is fast, stepping firmly, movements are abrupt, and they typically move in straight lines. The voice is loud, sharp, guttural, with demanding intonations. They seek active communication and easily enter into arguments. They sit with a straight back. In clothing, they prefer sporty styles and bright colors.
Taste preferences—intense, spicy, salty, sour. They prefer food that is spicy and hot.
People of the Earth element are heavy-set and fundamental, calm, responsible, and sensual. They are usually solidly built, with broad bones and a square frame. They are of medium height, sturdy, with large hands and feet. The face appears sculpted (cheeks tend to sink with age), with wide cheekbones. Eyes are small, deeply set, close-set, with a fixed gaze. Eyelids are heavy, eyebrows thick and often joined at the bridge of the nose. The nose is large, wide at the base, the forehead low and knobby. The mouth is small, drawn-in, with downturned corners, and a massive chin. Hair is thick. Their gait is heavy, movements are solid, slow, yet deliberate and precise. They often clasp their fingers or clench their hands into fists, or press their hands into their knees or hips. Handshakes are firm and heavy, manners somewhat coarse. They are not very sociable, find it difficult to initiate contact, and struggle to find conversational topics. Calm, responsible, and sensual. The voice is low, hoarse, often colorless or with authoritative intonations. They sit solidly, rarely change posture, and firmly plant both feet on the floor. In clothing, they prefer strict and practical styles. They favor natural autumnal colors—brown, ochre, yellow, olive, terracotta. They prefer solid, dense food, sweet or bitter in taste.
People of the Air element are characterized by lightness, sharp features, and an upward orientation. They are typically of an asthenic build, tall, refined, and appear younger than their age. The body is light, prone to thinness. They have long, elegant arms and legs. Their facial features are sharp, and their expression often changes. The gaze is restless, the outer eye corners slightly raised, the nose protrudes forward (a “Pinocchio” profile). Lips are often unusually shaped, accentuated, teeth small, the chin small, light, often receding. The forehead is high and open, hair fine and short. Their gait is light, springy. Arm movements may be uncoordinated. Hand gestures are free, quick, with a zigzag trajectory. They often rub their hands or touch their ears. Handshakes are light and dry. The voice is high-pitched, ringing, with light, sociable, curious by nature, they easily initiate contact and readily find common conversational topics. Very inquisitive. They sit on the edge of the chair, like to cross their legs, frequently change posture, and are ready to jump up at the slightest opportunity. In clothing, they prefer a romantic style, with blue and violet shades. They prefer light, warm food with a mix of different flavors.
People of the Water element are soft, flexible, gentle, usually short in stature, prone to plumpness, with soft, rounded body contours and pale skin. Eyes are large, with downturned outer corners, drooping eyelashes, a hazy, wandering gaze, eye color changing with lighting; they rarely look directly into the eyes. The nose is snub, with a turned-up tip, or wide at the base, the forehead small and rounded, forming a wavy line with the nose. Lips are full, bow-shaped. The chin is round, sometimes with a dimple, occasionally a double chin. Hands and fingers are short and plump. Features are soft, skin pale. Movements are slow. By nature, they appear soft and gentle. Their gait is smooth, stepping softly, swaying their hips. Arm movements are fluid and slow. Handshakes are limp and damp. They have stealthy (cat-like) manners. The voice is soft, quiet, chesty, with sensual, melodic, or questioning intonations. They enter into contact cautiously, easily fall under the influence of others, and follow their conversational logic. They drift away from the conversation thread, retreating inward, into their own thoughts and feelings. Their speech is drawn-out. They react to subtle changes in emotional atmosphere. They avoid giving direct answers. In a group, they seek the coziest and most comfortable spot. They usually sit hunched, like to prop their head on a hand or tilt it to the side. They favor long, loose dresses and coats, in blue, green, pink, and raspberry tones. They prefer bland, liquid, cold food.
Pure types are practically nonexistent; double or even triple types are more common. Therefore, if you didn’t recognize yourself here, you can always consult an astrologer and obtain your natal chart, which clearly indicates which element predominates in you. Examine yourself carefully, or better yet, ask your close ones.
